Mac os x 10.2.8 Connection: usb Itunes version: 6.0.4 Ipod Nano (the newer one) I tried restarting the computer and restarting the ipod. I couldn't find a way to restore the Ipod. I just want to get the Ipod to work with itunes and accept the library. Any help would be great. Thanks.
Hook up your Ipod to a mac computer at the apple store. It will recognize it, then restore it to factory settings. Then take it home and restore it again to work with windows... I did this and it works great. You'll lose all your music, but it will work again. I'll recommend this for most problems because your using a mac poduct to restore another mac product. It did't cost anything but a trip to the apple store. Good Luck

The newer iPod nano requires iTunes 7 or later, which unfortunately requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later. You must upgrade your operating system to install iTunes so you can use your iPod with it.
