Question about DISH Network ES161256 21.0 IR / UHF Pro Remote Kit for Receivers ES16
I have a Sanyo DP42410 TV. I have a Dish Network vip722 DVR. I am trying to program the Dish remote 21.0 IR/UHF PRO remote control to operate my Sanyo TV. The codes provided by dish for the remote program the remote. The problem is the remote will only operate the volume, and power functions. I want the dish remote to work the menu options on my TV, but I have not found a code that will do this.
Hello Witt Thomas,
I can understand the concern and wanting the remote to work the TV Menus. It is possible with our remotes, however it depends on the TV itself. I've seen instances where there are 2 TV's in one house, and 1 will do it, while the other won't.
If you have tried all of the remote codes, and none work, the only other options we have available are to try a powr scan, or teach the remote. This link http://www.mydish.com/support/teach-learning-remote-20-21 can provide the steps on how to teach that model of remote control!
Let me know if you have any other questions.
