Do electric toothbrushes require a different amount of toothpaste compared than manual toothbrushes?

No, you should put the same amount of toothpaste on all types of toothbrushes. You should put enough so you can clean your teeth well.

What are the advantages of manual toothbrushes over electric toothbrushes?

The main advantage of manual toothbrushes is the cost. They are much cheaper than electric toothbrushes. Whereas an electric toothbrush can cost you $50-$100, manual toothbrushes can be bought for just a few bucks. Another advantage is that manual toothbrushes come in different sizes and colors, so there's a larger variety to choose from.

What are the advantages of electric toothbrushes?

Electric toothbrushes are an excellent tool to keep your teeth clean and healthy. They offer many advantages:

They allow you to remove plaque more efficiently and quicker than manual toothbrushes.

You don't need to brush hard in order to get good results. This means that you are much less likely to injure your gums.

People who suffer from physical conditions like arthritis find electric toothbrushes as a great replacement to manual toothbrushes because they are easier to grip and you don't need to use as much physical power to get your teeth cleaned (the powered brushes do the cleaning).

It is more fun to brush with electric toothbrushes compared to manual toothbrushes, especially for children.

How often should I replace the head of my electric toothbrush?

According to the Oral-B website, you should replace the head of your electric toothbrush every 3 months. There are exceptions though. For example, if you suffer from gum problems, then you should replace your toothbrush head every 4-6 months. On the other hand, if you have very healthy gums and teeth and you are using a high quality electric toothbrush, you can probably use it for few extra months (around 6 months).

How to change battery on my old Quest? And what type of battery do I have to bye?

I have successfully changed the battery in two Quest II units. While it may not be for some who are intimidated by the inner workings of electronic devices, it is not that hard either. You will need a small Phillips head screwdriver. Removed the back by removing the 6 small Phillips head screws on the back. Use caution with the two screws that hold the endcap for the antenna. It is not a problem if the endcap comes off, but there is a small spring holding tension on the antenna and if it pops out, it is easily lost. Handle the two parts of the GPS gently as there are wires that joining the two sections. The battery is held into the back section of the GPS with some glue but it is easily removed with gentle prying. Use a small flatbladed screwdriver to remove the plug from the battery to the circuit board. This should be all that is needed with the old battery. A new battery can be obtained from www.batteryship.com. They sell the direct replacement for the Quest and Quest II GPS units. When you go to their website, there is a list of various devices they sell batteries for. Click on GPS. This will bring up a page for various manufacturers. Select Garmin, and look for Quest. I think the battery runs around $25.
After plugging the new battery in, you may want to use a small dab of glue to secure it to the back side of the unit like the original battery. Reassemble the unit, reversing the process with the front and the back. The Quest units have a rubber sealing gasket between the two sections. Be sure you inspect that for kinks before tightening the 6 small screws. I would suggest the screws be tightened down gradually so uniform pressure will be applied to the gasket. I would tighten one screw down partially then move to the opposite side and criss-cross the unit until all screws are snug. Again, inspect the gasket for proper seating and you are done.
