    Couldn't find a percentage button under catalog. Don't know why I didn't think to divide by 100. Thanks so much! Susan

    like seriously what kind of person would add letters and other stupid stuff to a calculator and not have a percentage sign on this very expensice calculator? whoever created this calc is so dumb!

    Letters are actually really important in math, @Dildora. Instead of using a percent sign, simply multiply by the decimal equivalent. Instead of doing 50,000 * 84% = 42,000, you can get the same answer by doing 50,000 * 0.84 = 42,000. :)

Just hit the 2ND key and the 0 (catalog key)scroll down to percentage or just divide the answer by 100.

Please rate this a fixya

I encountered this same problem with the TI-84. Turns out you have to put your P (Percentage) as out of one hundred. For example. With my problem I had;

Trails: 13
P: 53/100
X Value: L1 (List 1)

And then it posted my probabilities to the L2 list. For some reason if you just put 53, or whatever your percentage of success in, it won't calculate.

I'm a senior and have had my TI-84 plus for four years now. I just went back to school and tried to use my calculater for the first time in two weeks but it won't turn on. I've switched the batteries...

TI calculators have an annoying habit of dimming the screen when the batteries are changed so that it appears as if the calculator isn't turning on. Turn the calculator on (or at least press the ON key). Press and release the 2ND key. Press and hold the Up-arrow key for a few seconds and see whether the screen becomes legible.

If this doesn't do it, please reply to this post and we'll try something else.

School disabled all my apps - now what?

Use the link cable and link your calculator to a calculator where the apps haven't been disabled. From the other calculator, send a program or an app and that should enable the apps on your calculator
