Question about AT&T DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone System with Digital Answering Machine

Open Question

After 4th ring, there is a loud buzzing noise.

I purchased the system 2 weeks ago at BJs. We just relocated so I didn't realize the answering machine wasn't working properly. After the 4th ring, there was this loud buzzing noise. After calling AT&T, it was determined that there was "something wrong" with the system. I brought it back to BJs and exchanged it for a new one. Set everything up, called my house from my cell phone to check the answering machine and am hearing the same noise. HELP!!!

SOURCE: Answering machine doesn't pick-up reliably

I found in the manual that if the machine doesn't answer after the correct number of rings, then it may be the ringing system used by the phone company. But I have also heard of people with VOIP (such as Vonage) having problems with this as well.

SOURCE: #1739 answering machine hooked up but keeps asking for "password"

The unit appears to be stuck in "message retrieval mode) and is asking for your password to give you access when you call in(remote answering). You need to return the unit to it's factory default settings. If you don't still have the instructions you can get them here:http://telephones.att.com/docMgt/public/art/309494/1739_manual.pt2.pdf. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: disabled phone line

Sounds like the answering machine is picking up the telephone line and not releasing it.

Hence the busy signal, cause the answering machine has the line off hook. It's like leaving your telephone off hook, the next caller will get a busy signal...

The answering machine might be bad... have you noticed that you were talking on the phone and hung up then the next call would be the busy signal? Maybe test this out.
Do you have the correct voltage to the answering machine, too much power or too little power can do funny things to telephone equipement.

Singer Touch-tronic 2000 makes loud humming/buzzing noise, stitch selector lights quit working, needle bar stopped moving.

Sounds like you've got a thread jam going on in the bobbin case area. Good cleaning and a new needle will probably fix it. See: https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20091202121550AAHxN8y

Have Husklock s25. While sewing, machine makes a very loud noise, similar to ball bearings going bad. I had this machine serviced 3 weeks ago for the same issue. Any ideas?

take it back to the repair shop and ask them why it was serviced
3 weeks ago and still having the same problem, when you pay for
some work done on the sewing machine you'd like results, like no more
loud noise.
