Question about ASUS O Play HD2 Mini Media Player (AAC4001OPLAyMINI1ANTSC

Open Question

Continuation of the Asus O-Play Mini problem, I have also noticed that the problem most often happen in movies during scenes of quick action like fight scenes, disaster scenes, chases scenes,

Scenes of fast movement or quick or fast change of camera perspective. I don't know what it could be but the Media player is new, I bought it new. I wasn't able to return it before the allowed time to return units with problems ended due to some pressing schedule emergencies. Now I'm stuck with it rpoblem & all. Nobody's fault but I am hoping someone there could help me solve this. I'm sure there's someone there who knows or encountered this before. Thank You sir.

SOURCE: Why is it that sometimes I can watch DVDs on Windows Media Player and sometimes not?

Some movies are encoded with a protection the Disc acts as if you are tempting to copy the write protected dvd. you can get a program for free called shrink dvd that will remove the protection and copy the movie to your Pc so you can watch it.

A lg Bpm34 streaming blu Ray DVD player. I watched a movie and has love scenes the movie would turn off. It happen when the movie had a person swearing to. Now during a movie it turn the movie off.

It seems you have the content lock turned on at a low setting and the player is censoring your content. If you do not have the User Manual (not Quick Guide), obtain it here and look at p24, 'Lock Menu'

The sub seems to go on and off during diffferent movie scenes or tv shows. Is this typical? How do I fix it

Well first yes this is normal for the subwoofer to not always be pounding bass. There are times when there is no bass or it is all treble. If you are watching tv and say a action scene is happening and it goes in and out then Its most likely a either the amp that is powering the woofer is blow or the woofer is blown. Also it could be loost connections inside the woofer. But that doesnt sound to be the case as youd have to wiggle/jiggle the cables to get them to go back in play. Thanks, MIDwest-tek

YAMAHA HTR 5560 KEEPS TURNING OFF

sounds like you have the polairity reversed on the speakers
and yes it does make a difference
check polairity also make sure unit is well ventelated
you wouldnt use your compouter if it was inside a card board box
so make sure the reciever can breath also
recievers get too hot and they start blowing chips off the board

Sony bravia dims randomly

There should be a setting in the menu of the TV to turn off the auto dim feature (used for adjusting the brightness of the picture depending on ambient room lighting) I don't have a Sony LCD here with me to walk you through the menu settings, but I am certain it is there somewhere. (Chased this issue for the wife who had the same displeasure you're having)

I had a similar problem and it was fixed by upgrading the firmware to the latest version. Go to the Sony site and it will give you full instructions on how to do this.

Shutting off during a loud part of a movie

Its eather a defect with the reciver top end shut down /over bias system , Or the speakers could be partially shorted, such as instead of being 8 ohms, the speakers could have a few shorted windings from a loud music event?? I would take the speakers in to be checked under load. NOT just checked for resistance.. A regular shop may not know how to do this BUT tell them you need to put the speakers under a load and then measure the resistance . GOOD LUCK
