SOURCE: excessive static equally on all chanels on cb

You should always connect the CB directly to the battery as the accessory socket is full of noise. You also should choose a better antenna as these small glass mounts cannot hear signals well and magnify local noise. AM (CBs) radios naturally pick up noise as it is the nature of AM signals. Use your squelch to lesson this but too much can knock out you reception.

SOURCE: I need diagram on how to install or wire my CB IN

The CB radio its self just needs to be connected to power, and the antenna connected. You need to use at least RG-8x coax or you risk it frying from the extra power from the amp.

The radio needs to be attached to the amps input, then the antenna needs to go to the output of the amp.

Then most importantly the antenna must be tuned to lowest SWR. It must not exceed 1.5 and even that is pushing it.

I have new cobra ltd new antannas and mounts can hear but cant talk

You say antennas,I assume co-phased,as long as they were installed correctly&adjusted for the lowest swr reading,we'll assume they are ok.Next step would be the radio adjustments ,there is a switch next to your meter that must be set to s/rf,another switch for cb/pa needs to be on cb and last the knob for mic gain needs to be set at about halfway to three quarters depending your voice level and mic type used..are you using the stock mic that came with the radio,if so you should be able to transmit..look at the meter when you key the mic and talk it should move with your voice. If your using an aftermarket mic such as a power mic, make sure the battery is fresh and the correct type, this may also not be wired correctly for your radio if bought second hand..next step would be taking vehicle w/radio to a reputable cb repair shop or technician to evaluate.Good luck and hope everything works out.

How do i properly install this cb?

Hi, my name is John. Welcome to FixYa. First try to locate a place where the unit will be out of the way of operation of vehicle. Some people mount them under the dash or on the floor board. Run your wiring strait to battery if you like or to fuse box. Red is the hot wire and black is the ground wire, make sure you get a good connection. Then your antenna, a good magnet mount is a great antenna, place it on top of vehicle or trunk. Good luck and thanks for choosing FixYa....John

How do i install a cb radio on a pick up truck

You will need a CB radio antenna, The CB radio and mounting hardware as well as the power wire.

Choose a place to mount the radio. Mount it. Run the power wires from the radio to the fuse box. Put red wire in with the fuse that is hooked to switched 12 volt. Ground the black wire to any metal of the vehicle.

Next find a place to mount the antenna. If you use a mag mount, the roof of the cab is a best bet. Run the wire into the vehicle, it can go through the door, just make sure its not going to get pinched.

Hook the coax from the antenna to the radio

Now you have to tune the antenna. this is important because if you don't you you will blow the transmit final transistor out in the radio.

This link will take you to an article that will explain how to tune your antenna.

This radio has stand up if boards. These boards see to creat cold solder joints in them and the come loose from the main board. I suggest you resolder all the connections on the stand up boards and I'de guess the problem would be corrected. Good Luck
