Question about Apple Iphone 2g 3g 3gs 8gb 16gb S
Took my phone to get it fixed as kept cutting out at 90-80% battery, was told they would replace battery. Got the phone back on Wednesday on 7% battery. Got it home and put my sim card in and put it on charge and now it is worse than ever. Left it on charge and it kept cutting out whilst charging. Left it on over night so it was on 100% battery in the morning but after I took the charger out it cut out after about 10mins and came back on at 1% battery. Can anyone help me as I have an iPhone that I cant use and getting frustrated with it

You need a new logic board. Apple should give you a replacement. If you're out warranty, you can try to open it and replace the logic board yourself. You can get the part at iPad Repair and there is a guide that shows you how to open a kindle and install parts at iPad Repair Guide.

Welcome to Fixya
Try to clean the metal strip contacts of your simcard using pencil eraser. Try to use another simcard to test if is a phone problem or a sim problem.

SOURCE: suddenly I can not charge
When pluged into the car liter outlet does the moniter light come on? 1 check the fuse by unsrewing the pin tip of the plug, look to see if the fuse is blown, you may need a OHM merter if you can't see if the wire is still in one piece. 2 check the cigar lighter in the vehical with another plug or lighter to see if it works if not then find whitch fuse is blown in the fuse box of the vehicle, and replace either or both.

It's possible that there is a short in the battery cell and/or that you got water in the divice. My experience with Apple is that their customers are #1. Give them a call and they should at least get you to a point of if they will fix it for free or how much it will cost you.

You either have a bad battery or you have a bad charger. If the phone heats up when you plug it into the USB port on a computer then you know that the battery is bad and needs to be replaced. If the phone does not heat up and you get a normal charge from the USB connection then you know that the battery is good and the charger is bad.
