My Swingline model 520e jams every other time I staple.

I am constantly unplugging it and using the little key to move the gears and manually. After that, it double staples a few more things and jams again. This thing is on it's way out the window. Please help save the little swingline from this fate. :}

There were a few staples left in the cartridge when the stapler stopped working. I went thru all the steps on bottom for stapler after changing the cartridge with two different cartridges. It makes the noise and puts marks in the paper, but no staples come out of it.

One you know for sure their is no Staple jam in the "Stapler Head", the second place I would look is the staple cartridge. they want you to pullout a whole inch or staples and tear them off. If your not careful when tearing off that one inch section, you could possibly bend them out of their specification. those staples have to be dead flat going into the stapler head.

A staple jammed in the moving part (driver?) when using to staple. How do I clear the jam?

first remove the the spring loaded rod that keeps the staples in place and tight, if you can see any part of the jammed staple , grab it with pliers or vice grips and pull it out any way you can , might be more than one staple jammed too, turn stapler upside down to dump out any loose staples and debris , keep working until she frees up , if you still cant get it out might have to loosen screws up that hold it together, a little light lubricant will be good for it too . then load it back up with staples and put tension rod back in, i always try to keep it full of staples at all times ,like when it gets 2/3 empty , fill it up, this will ensure good tension on the business end of the staples!!

Cant turn key in ignition

if the key will not turn in the ignition then there are a few things that could be the problem --
1. the cuts on the key are worn down and no longer raise the wafers in the lock itself to the right height to enable the lock to turn. -- if this is the case, stop by your local locksmith shop and have them read the key and try and cut you a factory key.
2. one of the wafers inside the lock has split or jammed -- if it is a jammed wafer you can try and squirt a small amount of teflon or silicone based lubrication into the key hole and cycle the key in and out a few times and this might free it up ( NOTE: only use a small amount of lube -- you are not trying to drown out the lock ).///// if it is a split wafer inside the lock then the lock will need to be removed and rebuilt or just replaced all together.
3. it could also be a jammed ignition gear -- if this has happened, you can try and wiggle and turn the steering wheel back and forth to try and un-jam it and then try and use your key -- also try to turn the key at the same time as you turn the wheel back and forth,, this might free it up.
4. try a different key ( one that might be newer / less used ) -- this again might line things up to the proper position.
if none of these tricks work then you will need to call a automotive locksmith and have them come out to the vehicle to repair the ignition lock.
lots of times when this kinda of thing happens - it is caused by having a lot of keys on your key ring and the weight of the keys and the constant moving back and forth while driving puts stress on the key and parts inside the lock,,, ( suggestion for the future would be to just have the key and the key fob on your car keychain ) ( have your work, home and other keys on a different ring from your car key ).
I hope this helps, as a locksmith for 18 years I have seen this problem several times a week. if you need anymore help - feel free to ask me and I will do my best to walk you through the steps.

My 2000 nissan alitma will not start. Battery is good but just clicks when I turn the key. I am 22 and don't have a clue about cars! Help

Hi

If the battery is good and the battery connections are conected correctly then the only thing it can be is the starter motor. the clicking noise is the selinoid jamming.

If the car is manual transmission remove the keys from the car put it in second gear and push it forward until you feel the car jump a little, this will turn the engine over without it running and will free up the jamming starter.

If it is an auto then locate the starter motor and hit it with a hammer a few times this again will free it up, although it may jam again in the future. if you are not sure where the starter motor is get someone to try start it while you look where the noise is coming from.

Hope this helps.

It may just be through lack of use or cold weather so do not replace it just yet.

Regards
Dan

How do I change the staples in the bizhub 200?

If you have the finisher pictured above: If the machine is asking for staples, press "Finishing" on the panel then "Add Staples" this will move the staple unit to the front of the finisher. If the machine is not asking for staples but is not stapling paper then you may have a staple jam. To get the staple unit out: Open front door of finisher, Locate green turn wheel (this is horizontal in bottom left of finisher front door and is connected to white gears) turn this green turn wheel and the staple unit will be moved to the front of the finisher. Remove blue staple cartridge and remove the staple jam. After you reinstall the cartridge into the staple unit just close the finisher door and the unit will move back to home position on its own.

Bostitch nail gun number SB-21n1 is jammed and need manual to know how to unjam it or a solution online. Was using it in the staple mode and it jammed after about 5 staples. Was using bostitch staples.

Hello. Begin by disconnecting the air hose. That way you can not get hurt while removing the jam. Get a pair of needle nosed pliers and remove each of the jammed staples. They will pull out I assure you. Then Use a little WD-40 or compressor oil to lubricate the working mechanism at the firing head. IF you must loosen up the mechanism to remove all of the staple parts be sure to use the correct size allen wrench. I am providing link to a free manual for your gun in case you don't have one: http://bostitch.com/catalog_images/web_pdf/107674.pdf

Won't shoot staples it still shoots no staples come out was working fine seconds before

look for a jammed staple near the end of the magazine that is stopping them from advancing. Also make sure they move freely in/on the magazine. Double check to ensure that you are using the right staples for this tool.

Senco staple fastener not firing.

Make sure you actually removed the entire broken staple and there's not a piece still wedged up in there somehow.
Try raising the air pressure up to 125 psi and plug it in and unplug it a few times. Sometimes the piston can get jammed, and a smack with the palm of your hand on the side of the cylinder will jar it loose. If that doesn't work, try pulling the trigger as you jam the nose of the gun against a soft piece of 2x4 or something, repeatedly firing and jarring the tool. If this doesn't do it, you may have to open it up to clear the jam and put it back together.
