Brand new andis trimmer pulling hair and not cutting good

The questions about Andis T-Outliner or Andis Styliner II, about not cutting or pulling hair.
On the Andis T-Outliner trimmer if the sharpness of the blade is worn out, all the tricks and treats won't make this blade to cut hair. Before I do any kind of work to the trimmer, I first test the coil for the right amount power, I can get out of the coil, without this power, it doesn't matter how new or old the trimmer is, the trimmer will not cut hair at all. If the coil is good, I will sharpen the blade and set it according to your needs (lineups or shave setting) after the blade is sharpened and set. The trimmer will need to be, adjusted for alignment to the blade, adjust the power of the coil, and adjust the tension for the blade. All these factors are involved in the Andis T-Outliner to cut hair clean especially lineups or shaving. These adjustments work together for the trimmer to work properly. I know that we all trying to save money, which is part of life, but sometimes frustration will take over and say hell with it, I'll buy another or forget it. Manufactures make mistakes, sometimes the trimmer was not sharpened or adjusted correctly. Any case, what I'm trying to say here, if you try all the tricks & treats and can get your trimmer to work, it may be easier for you to send it to a professional to sharpen & repair the problem and set the blade according to your needs (lineups or shave setting) We specialize on Andis T-Outliner Trimmers. Andis Styliner 2 is not cutting it slightly pulls the hair

This styliner is crapt. I buy new clipper, right out of the box it doesn't cut, put a new blade on it, same thing. It doesn't matter how you adjust the blade, it does not give sharp line, and hard to do shape up. Andis Sucks.

Hi. I have an older fein multimaster msxe 636 II. The blades have round bolt holes. The new models have the star type holes. Can I use the star type blades since they are more available?

With respect to the above "answer", this tool has NO locking lever! It uses only a set screw to hold blades in place. It so happens that newer "star" mounting blades will fit into this tool easily, One must center the blade so the fingers of the star are outside of the raised circular surround of the hole. A washer (use a larger tapered one) and the set screw will then press the blade against the back surface of the bit holder. Tighten up this assembly, turn it on a cut away!

Andis trimmers are making loud noise when used outside US

First off all when buying a step down transformer for these clippers or any other electrical equitment make sure u read the label check cycle 50/60 ,and watt transformer need to be the same are close enough, with is hard to get on tha market, get it made custom,I'm a barber and we have a little trick open your andis clipper ,get spong cut it neatly just a bit thicker than the space between movin part and amateur (coil) insert spong between, not centre bit top bit to blade that's where knocking comin from it can cause that movin bit to break, trim spong until u get it quit but able to cut ,note blade will get hot because of wrong transformer and can damage coil

How do i get blades closer on the pivot pro t liners

You really can't move the cutting edge on any andis trimmer blades without throwing them out of spec. I say this to say that if you try (and the blades are not precisely set) it will scrape and cut the skin when you attempt to use them. They are factory set for optimum cutting. If you have found that they aren't cutting as closely or as cleanly lately, it just might be time to replace the blade entirely. I have a set of those, and a styliner II, but I prefer the cutting power of my T-Outliner over all.

It keeps geting hot every time i cut my hair

you should put clipper oil where the blade contacts it's base (near the middle of the base) and spray kool lube or a similar product on the cutting edge.
