Question about Washing Machines
Machine works but when it gets to rinse stage stops leaving all clothes wet. Pump does not seem to work. Only way machine will continue is if I drain the water from the front of the machine from the small plastic filter. Is it something that could be fixed or is it easier to replace machine.

Check the pump to see if anything is clogged in there or you could have a bad pump, open the door and look around the opening and you'll see the full model number.also if it stops at the rinse cycle does it fill with water and the water is in there but doesn't drain or are the clothes just sitting there wet, because when in rinse the machine just uses cold water and if the valve is clogged or filling slowly the washer will stop after like 6 minutes, does any error codes come up?you can try to start the washer just on cold water and see if the water fills slowly or if it comes in normally,if it comes in slow most likely that will be your problem,if it is the pump you can get a shop vac and suck out the water from the drain hose, get it as close to the floor as you can and it will work better, then remove the center part of the pump, the clean out and see if it's filled with stuff, turn it slowly, when water comes out vac it up with shop vac until it stops.hope this helps you out.

SOURCE: Washer draining problem
I am sorry The model I was refering to was not yours... you have an OLD belt driven model there is a panel on the back (2) 5/16 screws to see the pump the best way to replace that hose if you have to is disconnet the fill lines pull the machine out from the wall and lay it on its back for easy access..

SOURCE: spinning cycle
Keeping in mind that the soap & bleach gets dispensed into your wash on the
second to last rinse cycle and that most all rinse cycles are in cold
water. Is your cold water valve screen plugged causing your washer to
rinse poorly? Are you using the HE detergent? If not maybe the
washer is sudsing up to much and having a hard time rinsing all the
suds and bleach out and leaving the clothes soapy.
Fill the washer up with no clothes in it on a cold/cold wash setting does it take a long time to fill the washer up? Also when it is full and agitating is there suds in the washer?
Last suggestion is if the drain is hose is a lot higher than the top of the washer it might have a hard time draining out all of the soap water before the next load
