Probability distribution n=2 x=2 p=.80 P(2)

There are a lot of probability distributions: binomial, chi-square, F, normal, poisson, and t, just to name a few. Do you have a particular one in mind?

I am sorry there are no statistical probability distribution functions on the FX-82ES calculators. Try with the FX-991ES.

DID you just install the a new distributer cap and this happended? If so you probably have the spark plug cables wrong. or it may be a bag ignition module under the distributer cap

Do you have a question about the binomial probability distribution function or the binomial cumulative distribution function?

Press MODE 3 AC to enter the statistics mode. Press SHIFT STAT 7 to bring up the distribution menu then 1 to invoke P( .

If you have spark but extra fuel, then you probably have a carburetor problem

Sorry, boss.

But getting**standard deviation from a probability distribution** would probably __be best done by hand__ (of course, with the use of a computational device for those hard-to-reach fractions).

If your distribution question has a long line of events (IE, data points) then you'd probably want to use a more advanced calculator.

Nevertheless....I will return this afternoon with a more informed answer after I tinker with my BA-II Plus.

Whenever I do these, though, I usually pop open my TI89 Titanium (or of course just do it by hand).

STAY TUNED, MO...

Find the probability that at most 5 defective bolts will be found in a box of 200 bolts if it is known that 2 per cent of such bolts are expected to be defective .(you may take the distribution to be Poisson; e-4= 0.0183).

Hello,

Not knowing what kind of probability calculations you want to perform, I can only show you how to access the distributions that this calculator has to offer.

After you enter your data and do the usual statistics, you press SHIFT STAT and select 7:Distr. You get acces to

1: P(

2:Q(

3:R( and

4: X to t, the variate.

See the exemples in the Appendix to the user's manual, in particular #059.

Hope it helps.

That depends on what you mean by "solve probability." You could study probability for a year in college and not come close to covering all the types of probability problems. Do you want the number of combinations or permutations? The upper or lower tail of some probability distribution? The inverse distribution?
