Question about Kirby Ultimate G Bagged Upright Vacuum
I need to know the wattage for this kirby model for use in European. The voltage is 120-230V and 7 Amps, but need to know the wattage in order to get the correct transformer.
The conversion of Amps to Watts is governed by the equation
Watts = Amps x Volts
For example 1 amp @ 110 volts = 110 watts
your case 7 amp @ 120 volts = 840 watts
unless you are running it at 230v but I don't think you can
I would look for one rated for Volt-Amps instead of watts
It's best to round up to be safe add 40 - 60 watts

P over I x E is what you are asking... We know that I (Current) = 7 and the E (Volts) = 120 so just multiply I x E and you get P (Wattage). So 7 x 120 would be 1400 (Watts).
