It helps to know what device model and OS you are using though the following steps for changing from pattern lock to slide are for Android OS 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich):
1. Unlock your Android device
2. Find the Applications menu and select "Settings"
3. Under the "PERSONAL" group, select " Security"
4. Under "SCREEN SECURITY" group, select "Screen Lock"
This will ask for the security pattern first.
5. The options for screen lock will appear, select "Slide" and you are done!
Hope this helps.

In Google Play store, I found Private Zone is a good applock, small size easy to use specially you can lock whichever app using this, like Whatsapp, Messenger, Facebook, etc. There is no delay between locking and unlocking. It's good to keep privacy safe. LEO Privacy Applock Hide Safe Android Apps on Google Play

Bypass emergency call screen of Alcatel A462c?

You need to unlock the screen. Look for the picture of the padlock and tap it. It will then show what type of screen lock you have enabled, ie swipe, pattern, pin or password.

Galaxy 6. How can I bypass password?

Samsung Galaxy S6: How to bypass Password:

Hello. You'll need to enter in your password first in order to get into the phone, and then set the phone to no security so that you can get into your device without having to enter it all the time, if it has become annoying. I would suggest at least using a simple swipe pattern to lock your phone

1. Enter screen unlock password
2. Go to:
Settings>Device>Lock screen>
(under screen security)
tap on "Screen Lock"
(enter your screen unlock password to confirm)
select: None, or Swipe, or pattern

==

if you are unable to select: None or Swipe
because they are greyed out
like this:

bypass-password-galaxy-6-kyzl0pi20tqzz121bvlihxv0-2-0.jpg then you will have to just clear the credentials in security..
(this happens when you select a high security option)

go to:
Settings>Security>Clear Credentials
then go back to
selecting your new lock screen option

then, Go to:
Settings>Device>Lock screen>
(under screen security)
tap on "Screen Lock"
(enter your last screen unlock password to confirm)
select: None, or Swipe, or pattern

Unlock a swipe pattern on curtis KLU LT7033 pad

if you forgot your pattern lock, just give few more tries to continue wrong efforts. at an instant, the OS will report 'attempts exceeded, enter with your gmail'. at this point just enter your email address and in the textbox for password just give value as 'NULL'. this will instantly ask for new pattern lock and you are done!
