I have a Sharp AR-507. Error F2-00. How to fix?

I have a Sharp AR-507. I just filled the toner hopper with new toner and got an error message F2-00. I understand this is error means "toner control sensor open", but how can this be fixed by a user instead of a tech?

The manual does not indicate the presence of a developer unit or at least refer to anything called a "developer unit". Please clarify the response with a way to repair, not replace parts.

It could also be the sponge roller in the toner hopper. The old ones started to deteriorate after a while so sharp modified them.

100% sure: toner roller (sponge) goes bad when new toner is installed because of the weight of the new toner, after replacing the toner roller new developer is needed cause the defective toner roller let excess toner thru ans got overtoned, no way to clean. This is NOT a job for a beginer, better know what you are doing.

F2 errors means problem with toner supply or toner cartridge itself. For better understanding it is necessary to obtain a subcode by pressing START key. Clean toner cartridge CRUM chip contacts and check if cartridge destination is proper for your area.

A copier model sf 2220 shows F2 pls what can i do to that?

hello,
you have not installed the developer (it's a steel-colored envelope that must be purchased separately if not included in installation). To do this you need to remove the toner cartridge that you entered, and remove the screw with a screwdriver blue. slip off the drive containing the hopper and fill the whole bag well distributed along the developer hopper. Reinsert done this, tighten the screw and install the toner and error F2-40 is resolved. if you need instructions let me know. Hello Valerio
