Question about Sennheiser RS 110 Consumer Headphones
If these are older headphones it's likely that the batteries have gone bad or are defective, if this is a new unit, (aside from returning it for working one) it could still be the batteries, but the other likely issue is the charging unit is defective. you could test with a volt meter to see if it's getting juice. you could also have a short in the headphones somewhere.

Two things.. Check the batteries..
Also.. since these headphones have to have a signal sent to them to activate transmission (green light simply indicates they are receiving a signal) it can take a few moments after the signal begins to activate them.
I would hazard a guess that when you unplug the cables and then plug them back in.. the feedback that generates activates the base much the same as a regular audio signal would
Finally.. make sure the source is a fixed output.. if not.. and its variable..you will have to increase the output or volume to activate the base..

I had the same problem when I plugged it into a new HDTV. The problem was that the sound on the TV was set too low. The transmitter has a feature that automatically turns off when the signal is off or too low. Try turning up the TV volume to a high/higher level and it should solve your problem. Using the headphone jack with the white input allows you to use the headphones while bypassing the TV speakers.
