Is it normal for a microwave to make crackling noises when standing and not in use but plugged in ?

A microwave in standby mode should not crackle. There might be a slight humming sound from a transformer, but that should be all the noise it makes. You could have a transformer or control panel component that is failing.

Why i can hear faint sound on my mixing amplifier

Depends on what sound it is. If it's a hum, then it could be a fault. If the hum is on one channel then the place to look is that channel. You can compare the good channel with the bad one for clues as to what.
If it is in both channels then you are looking at the power supply. Or something common to both channels.
Hum is most often caused by Electrolytic Capacitors.
Crackling noises are caused by resistors, or transistors, or IC's.

Blackberry phone wont start but makes humming noise when charging

Pull the power cell out and replace. For testing, take it to the phone store and have them run a continuity test to see if any of the other components were damegaed.

Crackling & popping noise from one channel

Your best way to deal with this issue is to do some "hum tests" inside the unit with it on. Since only one channel is faulty and they are identical, you can use the good channel as comparrison with the bad. You simply touch with you a plastic tool or if you can your finger - not touching metal parts though - and either channel will buzz. Chances are you will come upon the faulty part and make it crackle.

Ac adaptor crackling thru external speakers

Allan, It sounds like you have what is called a ground loop. A ground loop can occur when two pieces of equipment are connected together through a home or buildings safety ground through the same power source. For instance, your PC is connected to a power source through the AC adapter or plug, and your external powered speakers are receiving power from the same power source. The surrounding cables as well as the AC adapter(s) can act like an antenna. This will cause a low hum or crackling that would be audible through the speakers or headphones.

You may want to try plugging all components into a power strip so they are all on the same circuit. You may also want to be sure that the AC adapter cables are not not laying or running across other electrical components plugged into a different socket.

If you get the same hum through your headphones check to see if the headphones were manufactured with shielded cabling. A shielded cable is made with a wire mesh around the outside that helps reduce electrical noise. Hope this helps a little. Thanks!

TV made a big popping sound, and then a crackling

Hi,do you hear any strange noises? If you hear clicking or like wanting to turn on it could be the board that powers the lamp it's called the ballast. Here's the instructions to replace it :http://www.fixyourdlp.com/guides/samsung/bp47-00033a.php That crackling sound could be of the color wheel:The color wheel is a rotating disc that has a gamma of colors it spins at high rpms. The light of the lamp goes through it to create the colors on your tv.When it starts to go bad you will get color distortion ,black and white picture and sometimes you will hear humming noises. But if you don't hear any strange noises,tv is around 6000 hrs,2-4 yrs it could be time to replace the lamp. The lamp you need is BP9601073A you can find original here:http://www.discount-merchant.com/Samsung-BP96-01073A-lamp-p/samsung-bp96-01073a-lamp-oem.htm?Click=48173 .Have a blessed one!

Very loud hummimg and crackling - even when volume turned down.

There are a few variants for this model depending upon the serial number. From your description, there are some capacitors in between the amp stages called coupling caps that are failing. The hum is some DC current being passed through the output stage. The crackling is probably just dirty controls.

Sony CMT CP1 Right hand speaker output very noisy, humming, crackling

It sounds to me like you both are having a problem with a capacitor going bad. some capacitors act as a noise filter and it sounds like you both have a bad one. If you are any good with a volt-ohm meter that reads capacitors you should check them to make sure they are at their proper values which will be posted on the capacitor. then replace it. if you dont know how to use a v-o meter then take it to a shop and have them replace it
