Turn the screw in the end of the shaft (on the door end) counterclockwise to release all the pressure.Once it closes or slams shut, use that screw to adjust the closing speed. Other problem could be the stay open lock (the metal piece that slides along the shaft) could be all the way out keeping the door from closing. If it is just push on the door a bit then slide the lock plate all the way back to the end of the shaft, and the door will close.
can be faulty door lock or wiring to the lock. also door ****** can be displace in the door . the handle shaft can slip out this stops door closing and actuating the switch correctly.e40 relates to starting the machine with door open.
The final locking piece on the motor shaft (the one with 2 set screws) was not far enough onto the shaft. The plastic cap that works with the RPM sensor would not sit far enough on the shaft and was not being read by the sensor.
I held the motor shaft in place from the front and pressed the ring further onto the shaft; tightened the set screws and pressed the plastic cap back on the end of the shaft.
The RPM cap sat far enough into the sensor for the door mechanism to work properly.
Not sure of your make or model but on some ranges you can unplug the range, remove the rear panel and there is a shaft attached to some switches at the rear of the stove. The shaft travels from a small motor at the rear of the stove to the front of the stove and activates the door lock. You can advance the motor manually unlocking the door. Now you have to find out why the door didn't open. Check to see if all the switches are ok using a multi meter. You can disconect the little moter and hook up a jumper cord to apply 120 volts directly to the motor to see if it will advance. If it doesn't advance replace the little motor.

The F93 shows that the Maximum oven door lock time has been exceeded. Turn off the range and turn off the AC power and wait for up to 10 mins. The door should reopen. Turn on the AC power ans see if the error persists. If it does then check the following.
1. Check the wiring between EOC & Lock Motor Micro Switch. 2. Replace the Motor Door Latch assembly if necessary. 3. Check for binding of the Latch Cam, Lock Motor Rod & Lock Motor Cam. 4. Check to see if Lock Motor Coil is open. If open, replace Lock Motor Assembly. 5. Lock Motor continuosly runs - if Micro Switch is open, replace Lock Motor Assembly. 6. Check oven door Light Switch - if open, replace Switch. 7. If all situations above do not solve problem, replace EOC.

On page 3-1 the manual explains that if the washer shuts off during the spin cycle, the problem points to a weak spring in the door lock mechanism.
"Shuts OFF In The Middle Of The Spin Cycle: During the spin cycle, the machine control monitors the door lock mechanism to ensure the door is locked. This is done through the door lock enable switch. During "lock mode," the shaft of the door lock mechanism is pressed forward by the door lock wax motor, and the shaft presses in the button of the door lock enable switch. If the machine control board sees the switch OPEN during the spin cycle, the machine control board will automatically shut the washer OFF. This is caused by a weak spring in the door lock wax motor. Replace the complete door lock mechanism.
Pull range from the wall. Unplug from wall. Open the back side of the range exposing the wiring. You will notice a small motor that is connected to your locking device. Turn the shaft on the motor counter-clockwise and the door will be opened. Examine the shaft and you will see a small cam that pushes up against a small switch. Turn the shaft so the switch is pushed in but ready to be released. Plug in your range back in and do not touch any exposed lines (220 V). Once the range begins to beep, turn the shaft until the switch is released. That solved my F signal. Motor is getting old and lazy I guess.
