I have never even heard a question or reason for the shape of a manhole cover. But you nailed it in my opinion.

Manhole covers are made in ashape round to prevent it to faal inside manholes. Unlike square, rectangles or triangles they can easily fall just by twisting it or by make it stand

A round cover follows the shape of the tunnel below, which is more likely to be round, being deep, square holes are harder to shape. The original lids were sawn from large round tree trunks.

Hi! I'm sure there are a few more reasons why manhole covers are round, but here are some that I can think of: The round shape means that they can't fall into the manhole (like a square could). A round shape also means that it has a smaller surface area, so less material is needed to make them, making them cheaper to produce. Round manhole covers are also easier to move since they can be rolled on the ground.

Sudden loud noise

Not a vacuum hose. If it is coming from the top of the motor, I would first check the oil. If there is a hole punched into the oil pan , you may be very low on oil. If oil's fine, I would suggest looking at the transmission housing. If the manhole came up and hit the housing, it may have cracked that, or cracked the fly wheel. One more thing I'm thinking is that if the manhole hit your starter, and pushed it up, It may have cracked the fly wheel. This can make it sound like it's at the top of the motor. Very loud tap tap tap tap. If you excellerate, the noise will go faster too. I just can't see a manhole doing any damage to anything in the top of motor. Make sure you check the oil ASAP. Hard to tell without hearing it. A video would even help. Let me know what you come up with. Good luck

I have to set the date and time every time i turn on the camera.

This is an indication that the setting control battery ( separate to the main battery in the camera) is not able to hold a charge. It is a round 10C size battery so look for a round manhole cover that you can undo and remove and replace the battery. This is often found on the very bottom of cameras.
