SOURCE: my wii keeps freezing

There are a few issues with this problem, one of these solutions might help you.

1. Get a camera and turn it on. Aim it towards the right side of your Wii Sensor Bar, and then towards the left side of the wii sensor bar. If your camera has a video output, you should notice 5 dots that blink on the right side (3 lined in the center, and 2 on the outsides of the center), and the same on the left side. My sensor bar had the five lights working on the right side, but the 5 dots sporadically glitching on the left side, which means I needed a new sensor bar. This is a $10 fix.

2. If you use a charger station (one example is by NyKo) those can burn out the wiimote sensors. I have been using it for over two years and not had a problem, yet. The lady said it could cause issues. Most likely not. This is a send wii and remotes in to get fixed, which costs $95.

Cant get wii hooked up to wireless internet

hi

The Wii game console from Nintendo can connect to the Internet over a broadband connection for a variety of experiences, including: Web browsing, downloads, on-line chat and visiting virtually any on-line site including Flash 7 and 8 sites. The easiest way to connect to the Internet is to use your existing wireless high speed connection.

1Be sure that your Internet connection is running smoothly and the green lights are all up. If you have a Nintendo Wi-Fi connector, you need to have the software installed and your computer connected to the Internet.

2 Turn on your Wii.

3
Select Wii Options, which is located on the bottom left of the screen. This is the button with the Wii logo

4 Select Wii Settings.

5 Click forward to the second menu screen using the blue arrow to the right.

6 Select Internet.

7 Select Connection Settings.

8 Choose an open connection, indicated by the word: "none".

9 Choose a wireless connection.

10 Determine the best option for you: Manual configuration or Search for an Access Point.

11 On Search for an Access Point, your Wii will search for a wireless network to connect to and will display a list of available networks. Networks identified with a closed padlock require authentication to join.

12 Select your network.
    • If your connection signal appears yellow or red, the stability or strength of the connection is not strong enough for the Wii's Internet needs. If possible, remove any obstacles between the Wii console and the Access Point or change the channel on your router to avoid interference.
    • If your wireless access point does not show up when you choose, Search for An Access Point, your router may have Broadcasting set to "No" or "Disable." Some routers also refer to this security as "Stealth" mode. You can either change your broadcast setting to "Yes" or "Enable," or you can manually enter the SSID in the manual setup screen of your Wii console.
  1. 13Select Save and OK.
  2. 14Select OK on the next screen and the Wii will preform an automatic connection test.
  3. 15Wait for the Wii to connect and download any needed updates.

I CANT GET INTERNET ON MY WII I HAVE A WIRED ROUTER BUT I CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET DSL WORKING PLEASE HELP!

Hi,
First off we have to make sure that your unit is properly connected to your router.
Note : Please note that Non-Nintendo manufactured USB LAN adapters will not work with the Wii console system.
1) Unplug your modem first for about 90 seconds and then plug it back in before continuing.
Note : You need to unplug the cable going to your computer when you wish to connect your Wii console online.
2) Insert the Wii LAN Adapter into the USB port on the back of the Wii console. The Wii should be turned off when you do this
3) Connect an Ethernet cable from your wired router to the Ethernet port on the Wii LAN Adapter.
4) Turn on your Wii and go to the "Wii Main Menu," then select the Wii icon (on the bottom left)
5) Select "Wii Settings" then "Wii System Settings"
6) Scroll to page two (using the arrow on the right) and select "Internet."
7) Select "Connection Settings." and then "Connection 1." ( connection 1 should say " None" if it says otherwise, click on Connection 1 and choose " Clear Settings")
8) Select "Wired Connection." then "OK" - It will now run a conncetion test
If the connection test is successul, it will do an update and will ask you if you agree to the User agreements. After agreeing to the terms, that's it. You should now be online.
I hope I was able to help. Hoping to hear good results.
All the best to you Mr. Edwards.
Cheers :)

Cant connect wii to internet

The unit can connect to the Internet by utilizing its 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, which is built in, for wireless connections or via a USB-to-Ethernet adaptor for DSL connections.
For your wireless connection or Wi-Fi, the 802.11b Wi-Fi has a data rate of 11 Mbits per second and has an indoor range of 30m or approximately 98 ft. The 802.11g has the same indoor range, however the data rate is at 54 Mbits per second. If you have an existing wireless connection or are in a Wi-Fi hotspot, the unit will connect to your wireless connection automatically out of the box. If you do not have a wireless network, however, you will need to have your wireless network subscription done or set-up first. Once you have wireless Internet access, you then search for your access point, put in your security settings and you’re good to go. It would also be advisable to have a wireless router for this so that you won’t have to shuttle the connection between your PC and your Wii. wi-fi-usb-connector.thumbnail.jpgAnother option would be to connect your Wii via the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector. This accessory allows Nintendo Wii users who do not have an existing Wi-Fi connection or a compatible Wi-Fi network to create one through their broadband or DSL connected computer. This is inserted into your existing computer’s USB port and the Wi-Fi USB Connector acts as a wireless access point for the Wii. This allows the user access to the internet and to play Wi-Fi Connection games from Nintendo Online.
nintendo-wii-lan-adapter.thumbnail.jpgFor your DSL connection, however, you will need to have quite a few things. You can use a WII LAN adapter to connect your Wii to your DSL modem. You can also use a router so that you can use your PC and your Wii at the same time. With the LAN Adapter though, to use or plug in the Wii, you must disconnect your PC. This can be quite tedious since you will have to plug in and out your PC and your Wii every time you need to use one or the other. A LAN Adapter is fairly cheap, but if you get a router, your PC and your Wii can go online at the same time, saving you the hassle of connecting one or the other when you need them. You can then hook up the existing ethernet cords to the back of the router and connect it to the Wii via a USB 2.0 cord.

i hope this helps
