I have a 1995 Isuzu Trooper and am getting the diagnostic code Flash... Flash,Flash. I believe thet means 12. Does that mean solenoid circuit failure? And if so, what do I need to do to fix my rig?

When you flash codes on a 95 trooper..it should flash code 12 pause and flash code 12 two more times...if no other codes flash it means there are no codes stored...code 12 is basically, enter codes, beginning of codes and end of codes.
I just double checked cos 95 models were I thought allrunning the obd 2systems..but production dates after the 8th month are considered next year models..so maybe yours is a late year production. I am going to send a picture and pre odb2 code 12 is a code..hope this helps!

87 fiero gt code 12

Code 12 doesn't need fixed. When you begin to test codes you will get the code 12 but that is just telling you that it is in diagnostic mode, it will flash the code 12 three times, then after that it will flash all stored trouble codes. After all stored trouble codes have been displayed, the ECM will repeat the process( so getting code 12 again means you have reached the end of the stored codes list) If it displays code 12 three times and then displays code 12 again , it means you have no problem codes.

94 sunbird le with a flash code of 12

A code 12 on gm cars just tells you that the ecm diagnostic mode is working ok.It should flash code 12 3 times then if there are any codes stored it will flash the code 3 times and when it is done it will flash code 12 again.

1991 CHEVY S-10 4.3 2X2 AUTO TRANS, TRUCK RUNS GOOD BUT WHEN IT REACHES NORMAL OPERAING TEMP THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT COMES ON

There is no way to tell what the light is for without scanning for trouble codes. There is a way to access the computer trouble codes without having a code reader. If you look under the driver side dash near the steering column, you will find the diagnostic port where you would plug in a scanner. If you look closely you will see that the terminals are identified as a,b,c, and d. Take a metal paper clip and straighten it out, then bend it into a u-shape. Put one end of the paper clip in terminal A, and the other end in terminal B. Now turn the ignition key to the on position, but do not start the engine. The check engine light will start flashing. This is how you will get the codes, by counting the flashes. The check engine light will flash the number 12 three times, to let you know that it's getting ready to flash a code. Let's say the computer has stored a code 32, and a code24. First, the number 12 will flash 3 times(flash-pause-flash flash). Then there will be a long pause. Then the computer will flash the first code, which, in this example, is 32(flash flash flash-pause-flash flash). It will flash the same code three times, then it will flash the number 12 again. After the third number 12 has flashed, the next code will flash, which is 24(flash flash-pause-flash flash flash flash). That code will flash 3 times. Then there will be a long pause, and the pattern will be repeated. After all the codes have been flashed, the whole sequence will be repeated, starting with the first code, and will continue as long as the paper clip is in the diagnostic plug. Write the codes down as they are flashed. If you get mixed up, just wait for the next sequence of the number 12 to flash, then start counting the flashes again. Believe me, it takes a lot longer to type all this out than it does to get the codes off teh computer. If you have any questions, let me know. When you have the codes, I can look them up for you and see what they represent.

A Flashing Red ON/STANDBY LED means one of the following
2 Flashes - The internal temprature is high. Check the air holes are unobstructed.
4 Flashes - The fan is broken
6 Flashes - The internal electrical system has failed.
There is no entry in the manual for 12 red flashes.

Engine code

12 and 55. The 55 means end of code session, the 12 means no distributor reference. Both of these codes are normal with the engine not running, so do not go out and purchase a dstributor. Is there another problem with the vehicle, or did you just want to know the codes? Comment back to continue, thanks.

Trouble code 12

Code 12 should flash 3 times, then flash whatever codes are in the system, when done showing those codes, it flashs code 12 again, to let you know the test is done.

Fault code

There you have two codes:
1 2 or 12 = Battery recently unpluged
5 5 or 55 = End of Test.

So, you dont have malfunction codes in there, this is good.

More details can find in :
- Read Check Engine Codes
- Reset ECU Procedure

Hope help with this (remember rated this DIY and this post, an comment it).
