I cancelled the policy within the lawful 7 days via their contact us website as well as telephonically. deductions keep going off my bank account

Cancel it with the bank and inform them you cancelled it with the company if you can prove that then your bank can refund the money if done by direct debit

I have an Oster 1.1 microwave that is still under warranty, it blew this morning and i would like a rebate as I think it should last longer.

First, contact the manufacturer and ask what they want to do about the situation since it is under warranty. They may replace or repair it. They will try not to return your money if at all possible and in most cases you will not have the same problem with the repair or replaced item. This is a highly unlikely situation and is certainly what the warranty is for to protect you from a manufacturing defect.

I would argue that they should pay shipping charges both ways since it is under warranty but check their policy on that. I'd like all warranty policies to cover shipping both ways but I doubt that will ever happen. I've gotten manufacturers to pay both ways when the defect is either from the day I unboxed the item, DOA, or within a few months but it all depends on the manufacturer.

Oh, and one more thing, no matter what their policy is, you can always ask that they pay shipping both ways, the worst they can say is no, and you can always ask to speak to their supervisor and try again if you really feel they should due to the circumstances.

I once argued with a company about a defective DVD player that had strange but very intermittent problems since day one so I didn't know if it was operator error or the unit until much later when it died completely. I didn't get them to replace it for free, it was past warranty by the time it died, but they gave me an upgrade to a "better" unit for the same fee they were going to charge me to replace the defective unit, so sort of a little bit of a win.

Remember that, even if you get an "upgrade" to a better unit with more features, if you never use those features the upgrade isn't worth it unless it's the only concession you can get out of them. Even then it's not really worth it to you but you may be able to turn around & sell it and make enough off of it to get the unit you originally wanted and have some money left over which would make it more worth it.

There is nothing you can do about the policy. Time moves on. Contact a local Panasonic Authorised Agent for a repair but as it was in 2012 when you purchased it, the warranty from Panasonic is out of date!

The joys of purchasing items with a bought out warranty. Check the plug and contacts on the fuse.
You could either call a microwave repairer and pay for callout and repair or purchase a new one.

Purchased new glass top stove Nov 3,2010. Now liquid stain is visible between the glass in the oven. Help

Clearly, you have a blown seal or gasket where the glass meets the perimeter of where it sits. This sounds like it is a manufacturer defect. If it "happened within 90 days of purchase," then, perhaps you were out of town and could not report it to the supplier or factory within 90 days to be covered under factory warranty -- wink wink -- I suggest that you be very sweet and in your best little girls voice ask retailer to kindly replace the stove. Otherwise, if purchase was via a credit card, you may have recourse there - ask your financial institution or go to the holder (ie visa, mc, discover also insure purchase - with limitation - see their policy) and set out that way as other methods of recourse may be available.

We had the same problem, got Neff service engineer to come out after taking out insurance. He said the megatron cracks which is a large magnet and causes the fuse board to blow and needs to be replaced. This occurs through lack of ventilation on instalation. Total cost £370 may as well get a new one. Plus our insurance wouldn't pay the cost and cancelled the insurance policy.

I purchased a sunbeam coffeemaker in June from Zellars. I didn't start using it until the first week in September. I noticed that it dripped from the coffee grinds holder even when it had finished brewing....

Contact sunbean customer service. Look on the web for contact numbers. Explain your problem and tell them you have the reciept and have been contacting Zellars but have got no response. So you decided to contact them directly. Almost all the time they will honor your problem.

In reference to my other email, the microwave was only purchased 4 weeks ago on the 25th of march and the light went out on the 20th of april. it was purchased from bing lee

I would contact the dealer. Many have a 30-day return policy.

Otherwise, you'll have to contact the manufacturer via the information in your owner's manual.
