You have a dead column of pixels. The only solution I'm afraid is to replace the LCD screen.
I'm sorry the news isn't good but can you take a moment and rate the solution as fixya even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear? Thanks! :c)

Generally a screen defect.
You can attempt to reconnect the cables going from the system board to the LCD by removing the screws on the bottom for the Keyboard, Palm rest, and bezel. The system board connection is hard to miss, usually centered near the top on Lenovo's.

try ALT>+<CTRL>+<ARROW> three button at a time. the arrow you press, screen should go on that way. It works on most of the pc s. Should work on you too.
Please Rate me if it works.

The blob is a phisically damaged part of the LCD screen. Unfixable, the screen must be replaced and it will be expensive.
