Question about Ariston Technologies Washing Machines
Hello, I have a Ariston AMD 149 (DE) Washer/Dryer. I searched for everything reagarding the error F08. I searched for an repair manual (without success). I disassemble the top cover and the back cover. I took a meter and meassured the ohms of the heater above for the dryer an the heater for the washer 31 Ohms. I changed the PCB and the pressure switch, with an identical machine (in our family we got the same two). So the solutions described for this error are:So far I did this: Wash Heater Relay Stuck (signalled in presence of empty) or pressure switch stuck on Full (simultaneously empty and full),Check the efficiency of J3 connector contact on the card, Check pressure switch status checking J3 wiring connector pins 2 and 4 ohm continuity (it must only be present with tub empty) and pins 2 and 3 ohm continuity (it must only be present with water in the drum) and pins 2 and 1 ohm continuity (it must only be present with water in the tub above normal level, at least halfway up door glass), Check wiring J3/pressure switch,Check connection of heating element J3 connector pins 5 and 6, Replace pressure switch,Replace Card ... nothing helped. Strange thing is: - normal washing program stops after the main washing program. washing powder is used. no water in the drumm and the machine stops with error F08. The motor of the Pump is working the whole time (there is maybe 0,3 liter in it if I open the lid of the pump at the bottom), the motor of the dryer fan is working the whole time. After a few minutes the Pump stops, after 2 minute the fan, than the machine just displays F08. The fabric softener is not released at this time. This happens after the washing an heating cycle.. When the error occurs it flashes in the display. a few seconds the motor of the fan on the top is still working (just the fan) then everything stops. If I choose another programm like only rinsing and tumbling it works as an part-programm. Also an stand alone drying programm is working.I already changed the board but the same problem. Yesterday I check all the wiring from the PCB to the pressure Switch. I checked the pressure switch itself, checked all the functions with a meter everything works. The small hose is not damaged. Now I saw the the fabric softener was released one time. The bottom heater is working fine. Yesterday I tried a programm with drying at the end. It shows F08 the drying cycle was not initiated. The cloth inside seems like washed and moist not wet. So it seems like the whole normal washing cycle could have been properly done. But I can not explain myself what F08 could be. If it is not the PCB (Board), The wiring, the pressure switch, the heater, what could it be. Could it be the NTC or something else? Also I have read about the filter. So I opened the bottom lid. As far as I could reach with my finger there was nothing in the way. Is there a pump filter place somewhere else? could this really a pump filter problem? Again I would like to describe what happens when the error F08 starts flashing. Someone any ideas?

i am a retired engineer of 20 years, and its about a year since i worked on combination washer/dryers but if the heater elements fine and power comes from timer there must be cut out somewhere around where it should warm up, look all round the machine one may be hidden or hard to spot there maybe about 3 one of them one of them could be a trigger device (you can press a button to reset it) that style is a very small cube about the size of a sugar lump with2 spades on it, others look like a small flat oval or round shape the size of a five pence piece with 2 spade wires on them, remove the plug from wall and remove these spades and check the contacts for continuity, you need not remove from machine to do so, no circuit + no heat, replacement item not expensive, thats where to start based on the information given, check the sensors you mention again, it sounds like your so close, good luck and work safe
