HOW DO I MANUALLY LOWER BOWL IF MIXER WILL NOT START?

Trina you might be better off to contact Hobart or an authorised Hobart service agent about this. The lack of answers probably indicates resident hobart experts are absent.

My kitchenaid k5ss will not turn on My mixer was running and stopped. I replaced the gears but when taking apart I found that the board on the very end was crcked an the bottom was broken. I replaced both...

Heheheheheh, not laffing at you but with you, You have just assembled stuff in the wrong place and you have to now adjust the speed control board to get the mixer to start up. Go to the KA site click on support click the drop down menu and click on get manuals then on left side of page click first and choose servicer then drop down and list your model number just as it is listed on the sticker under neath the mixer, click or hit enter and you will be taken to a new page with PDF forms the top section is the owners manual and the second section will be the parts list go to the matching model number and click on it scroll down to your manual and click on it, it will expand in a new window, scroll down and you will see the parts for the electrical area of the mixer, it is easy to figure out and you will quickly see the manner in which you need to assemble everything properly, once you have everything put back correctly you will need to adjust the 3 screws on the speed control plate. start with the two top screws chrome on the top of the black and copper plate, turn counter clockwise until the mixer starts, You can find a few good tutorials about this adjustment on utube that you can use as a guide. Hope this helps please let us know if it did.

I have the 300 watt hand mixer and the retreactable cord no longer holdes when pluged in. It's been broken for some time. Is there a fix to this problem.

The prongs on the plug have worn, and the plug can be replaced (for less than $2 USD) from any
hardware store, just cut off the old plug, and wire the new plug onto the cord.
Remember to keep the cord's conductors correctly oriented: the conductor on the Bravetti Hand
Mixer that have the uncolored stripes (in the insulation) is the Neutral conductor, the other is the Hot conductor - assuming your abode is wired to standard US 120VAC.

I have just purchased an ice cream freezer for my mixer. It is an older model and does not have a "stir speed" delineated. What is the equivalent of stir speed on the older models? -- 1 or 2?

On models with the "STIR" speed, the RPM (Rounds Per Minute) is 60.
Set your mixer speed to "1" or "2" and do the following:
Put your hand near the Agitator shaft and allow it to brush your finger slightly. Use your
watch or clock and start counting the number of times the shaft touches your finger in
60 seconds. In your case, the correct STIR speed is 60.

My hobart n50 mixer, when pluged in does nothing at all. why? and what to do?

The N50 is a heavy duty / commercial counter top mixer. It is available in several different versions for different power sources. Make sure yours is the model for use with the power available at your location. The power versions are:

100-120/60/1, 100/50/1, 230/50/1, 220/60/1 and 230/60/1

This lists the information in the following format: voltage/frequency/phase. If used in the US or Canada (and many other parts of the world) you would most likely want the 100-120/60/1 or the 230/60/1 version. All are single phase, so this shouldn't be an issue to worry about. Use of any of the other versions could result in shortened life expectancy of the mixer or immediate, catastrophic failure of the mixer and possibility of burns, shock or electrocution if connection is attempted.

If the mixer matches the power available, check for proper wiring at the source point of connection and in the mixer. You may need an electrician to change the power at the connection point from 100-120/60/1 to 230/60/1 (or vice-versa since BOTH are available in North America). Also check to be sure that fuses or circuit breakers in the electrical panel are intact and on. Do not overlook GFI outlets if using the 100 to 120/60/1 version. Reset any tripped GFI outlet. If still unable to operate, verify that power is present at the connection point. If unable to operate, contact an electrician to check the power and wiring of the mixer.

The mixer data sheet is available here.

Could be a problem with the start windings.or start switch.maybe a capacitor .on the older models the start switch sticks just needs freed up and contacts on start switch cleaned.

Check the carbon brushes, look inside the hole, it is keyed, the brushes only go in properly one way. Match the missing corner on the brush to the blocker inside the brush holder.
