Question about Electrolux Coffee Makers & Espresso Machines
My AEG TSK-1817RA Espresso machine worked fine when I packed it down. After a year's storage, I unpacked it. But it doesn't work. Everything sounds normal, but water doesn't go through the machine and the beans are still dry. I guess a valve is stuck, or something like that. Ir this known problem, and is there any simple way to fix it?

First if the water tank is fitted correctly.then run the rinse and descaling program to clean the machine.
Also check the display if there is any error code.

SOURCE: My Saeco won't grind the beans
There's moisture in the grinder & it's clogged - just dismantle the grinder & clean it, then ensure you don't splash water into the bean hopper when you fill the water tank.

Try cleaning out the grinder with the instruction for this link: http://www.cerinicoffee.com/Saeco_technical_documents.asp
Polyglot, if you have done this already it sounds like there is something wrong with the grinder switch on your machine. You will have to get the machine serviced.
We service saeco espresso machines based out of New York.

Your problem is not the same as Polyglot. Try cleaning out the grinder using the link above. It works 50% of the time. For some reason your machine is not grinding. Common reasons are water has been accidentally spilled in the bean hopper or the grinder just has a problem and needs to be addressed.
In the case where water spills into the bean hopper you may need to change the grinder burrs. (http://cerinicoffee.com/Grinder_burrs_saeco_gaggia.asp)
Hope this helps.

I have found that I have to remove the group valve assembly about once every 1 or 2 months to clean out the .030" to .040" opening in the valve body. The manual gives instructions on how to do this. It becomes clogged with a thick paste like substance.
