Hi, the UL code on your washer means unbalanced load. If this is the first time it has happened just pause the washer and redistribute the clothes and continue the cycle. If you get this error a lot there is a suspension rod kit available for the issue. Part # W10189077. Also Whirlpool has had issues with the tub bearing that can add to the out of balance problem. If it makes a loud roar while spinning then it needs a bearing kit also. Your looking at around $170.00 for the suspension rod repair and $ 270.00 to have both the the bearing kit and rod kit replaced. Hope this helps.

What does the error code UL mean?
UL means UnLevel. To fix , open door of washer, and redistribute the clothing/laundry in the machine, and press start. It should start spinning again. Sometimes , if you have a overly heavy load of laundry above will not work. What I have done is, put my weight on the machine (upper body laying on the top) until the machine has extracted enough water so the machine will be balanced.

UL Stand for unbalanced load
probably the balance rods washer has 4 of them and they work like shocks for the tub and if they go bad than they allow the drum to spin wildly.

UL light keeps coming on stops spinning
The uL error code is displayed when the electronic control detects an off balance load. This can be caused by overloading, bad bearings in the tub, something between the tub and basket, or an issue with the electronics.

No matter what I do my cabrio washer get ul code. I have cleaned and regreased all pivit points as recomended

the load. Not sure why you would lube anything for this fault code. What may be the problem is the struts that steady the washer drum, they are in effect shock absorbers, they are likely the source of the code.

My washer goes into spin cycle byitself and when washing,if u r in spin cycle it sets for 14 mins thats good 4 mins into spin all knob lights start flashing and the screen says uL

One thing to understand is that this is a difficult problem to pin down and may end up requiring the control board to be replaced.

The UL or unbalanced load error is displayed when the control board senses an out of balanced load.

You don't indicate if the washer is actually out of balanced or not when the code appears but the description of banging and shaking would indicate it is out of balanced.

If the washer consistently bangs and shakes in spin then I's suggest you remove the spin basket and check under it for obstructions that might prevent the washer from spinning smoothly.
