Home inspector says our fan is too noisy. Does this mean something needs to be replaced?

U may need to first check if the fan is not impeeded by debris and oil build up etc. or have a broken impeller

There will be some noise from the fan, but it should not be excessive, if it is really loud, then this is an indication that the fan is failing, and should be replaced ASAP.
