UGH! Sorry to hear that. You could try the old Bowl of Rice method, where you place the phone inside a bowl of rice, or inside a ziplock back full of rice, and then leave it there for a couple of weeks. (the rice is UNCOOKED!!!) Hopefully, that helps. If not, your phone might be toast. Check and see if you have insurance with your carrier, and whether they insure against water damage.

I don't know if this works but I have heard if you take the battery out and let it sit in a bowl of uncooked rice over night it should work the next day because the rice soaks up all the water. I would give that a try.

remove battery and let it be totally (100%) dry.then insert battery and and power it on. see if it can work, otherwise visit nearby HTC service centre.

you should of never tried to turn your phone on,you burned it up,if you wouldve immediately taken the battery out and dried it in rice,it might of worked,not good

first to do when wet phone is remove battery to prevent short circuit and blower your cp with hair blower or etc.. you need to see a cellphone tech for now about your cp for now thats the best thing to do. or try to open your phone and blower it inside may there's corrosion

I have an HTC (HD2) cell phone that fell in water... it still works but the lcd/screen does not work... I can only receive calls.. What should I do???

I'm sure by now you have gotten the problem resolved with a replacement phone. If not, drop the phone into a bag of dry white rice. Remove the battery and leave the cover off to expedite the drying.

DO NOT PUT THE PHONE IN THE MICROWAVE OR OVEN!!!!

There is no true way to fix water damage. What happens is the battery will short out some of the circuitry in the phone. You can try taking the battery out and putting the phone in a bag of dry rice to wick away the moisture.

first thing when any electronic equipment is in water, we need to remove its power source like battery until its completely dry. to save it from more damage to circuit. You need to get it repaired @ HTC Service center.

in this case don ever try to turn on the phone in this case and the circut will get jammed. dismandle for the water to get dry. this solution might sound funny but it will work, bury in the phone in the rice ,as it has nature absorb water , may be bury it atleast an hours time.try with hair dryer to dry the water content and while blowing air keep in distance and try as the hot air will jam the circuit again

HTC S 710 dropped in pool

will the buzz you herd was its insides of the battery was geting power to it but the battery was hit by water so the buzz was the water sizzing and so what I wood do is by a new HTC S710 battery and get rid of the old one!
