Question about Samsung Cameras
My NX300 will not power off. The Samsung logo continues to flash on the screen and the auto focus continually rotates. I removed the battery for 12 hours and no help. Any suggestions??

Set the camera to anything except no flash. Turn it off. Take out the battery. Wait 5-10 seconds. Put the battery back in. The flash should now work until you turn the camera off again (and then you must remove/replace the battery to get the flash working again).
The flash requires some kind of "master reset" to work. Haven't found a permanent solution to this.

The manual specifically states that you can put the AF marker over something with some contrast, half press the shutter, so that it will focus, hold the shutter button halfway while you recompose the shot, and then press it all the way. This camera will not auto focus with mechanically driven lenses. It will only AF with "AF-S" or "AF-I" lenses.

First make sure you are using fresh lithium batteries. These cameras indicate low batteries quite early on. Rechargeables even when freshly charged are marginal.
If the problem persists remove the batteries. Set the camera switch to the off position. Set the focus switch to manual. Wait at least a minute. Then replace the batteries and switch on again.
Operating with low batteries can confuse the firmware and it may be stuck in a low-battery loop. If this is the case this should reset the camera by allowing the electronics to power-down completely.
If this does not work you wiil have to contact pentax support.

please use the batteries of the same spec. IE - 4 two 3000mA. please read the instructions carefully - they do mention that you have to use battiers of the same power rating.
