Need to clean inside of handle on KitchenAid food processor

The inside of the handle on my KitchenAid KFP750 food processor is filled with grime and I don't know how to disassemble to clean it. Any advice?

Need to clean inside of handle on KitchenAid food - 033a22b4-eb8d-44ad-acb9-cfc0851aba93.jpg The handle in my KitchenAid KFP600 can be disassembled. Carefully pry away the black outer cover of the handle from the top, then push or punch down. Next step is to pry the plug out of the bottom of the handle and remove the stem/lock. Small screwdriver in slot of plug close to bowl loosened plug to about 25% out. Then I fashioned a clothes hanger to a small "j" in the end to fully pry out the plug.
I did slightly damage one of the tabs on the clear part of the handle that locks in the black outer cover. Super Glue!
Almost lost spring down sink drain. My father would not be happy as he always taught me when cleaning small parts to have sink strainer in place. Ooops. Also spring/shorter end of stem/lock is reinserted in position close to bowl.

you can take it to an appliance repair shop but parts if available will be close to the cost of a new unit

I can't seem to clean the handle. I can't get the handle off. The inside is very grungy.

Soak overnight in a bucket of hot water, dish soap and 2 cups of bleach. By the morning the dirt will be gone and just need rinsing..

Motor won't start when bowl locked in position

Hi, I had the same problem with my KitchenAid KFP740. The fix was the handle cap was loose. We all have a tendency to lift the unit out of the cabinet by the handle and it is heavy! The handle has a mechanism inside. The outside piece of the handle that holds it all inside gets loose making the pin at the bottom of the bowl not reach where it needs to be when you put the lid on. If you assemble the unit and squeeze the top of the handle after you put the lid on mine would work. A little gorilla glue and I was back in business!

You may have to direct those enquiries at a Kitchen Aid service agent in your country. Here in Australia/New Zealand the bowl parts care not screwed together so it may be a bowl specific to your country.

Have you tried heating the sleeve with a torch and then sliding it on?

Attachment stuck on shaft of food processor

put the mixing bowl up as much as possible. spray some wd40 into the groove between the attachement and the motor shaft. Wait for several minutes, then with a hammer and a piece of wood, give the bowl a good wack. With a few goes, it will gradually come off. I will be putting some butter inside the attachement from now on to keep it lubricated

Bowl handle doesn't make connection

I had this problem, I finally stuffed a tiny piece of tin foil into the hole the spring is supposed to go into to activate the machine. It works, but it is always on, even if the bowl is not locked into place so I have to be careful. I just store it unplugged.

The plastic for the work bowl / handle is molded and one piece and cannot be disassembled. My best recommendation is to call Kitchenaid customer service to see what recommendations they have. Within one year warranty, they may replace the work bowl at no cost.

I have had my KA food processor for 6 years and have the same problem with food particles, mold?, stuck in the handle. I emailed customer service and they suggested soaking the bowl in hot soapy water. It does not work. Hoping somebody else has a solution!

i have tried to steam inside, soak in a little caustic soday, NO, nothing gets in there... how the HELL does the grim get in there???
