You may have to open up the stapler to expose the loading area then look for staples (or staple fragments) jamming the nose. It may be necessary to resort to pliers to remove the bits.

Stapler isn't pushing staplers through

Open the staple tray and empty out the good staples. Using tweezers, needle-nose pliers or similar tool carefully pull out the jammed staple. The staple may break while it is being removed in which case you will need to repeat to remove each piece of the jammed staple. Check also, the spring to ensure it's not twisted or damaged.

Finally, fix in good staples and continue use.

There could be a piece of a broken staple jammed in the stapling mechanism. I checked mine and there are two screws on the bottom that can be removed to expose the interior. The broken staple jam occurs often with mechanical staplers so the electrics probably have similar failures.

I have a paper jam in my OfficeMax paper shredder. How can I fix this problem?

Usually for a jam you just need to reverse it. If it is really jammed you may have a staple caught in there or too many sheets of paper. If you unplug it and then see if you can pull out the jam. If it is a staple you may need to use needle nose pliers to get enough of a grip to get it out. If this has seen heavy use and lots of multiple pages then you could have burned out the motor. These are not much more complicated that scissors so there isn't much to do to fix them. Most don't like staples or more than 2-3 pages max at a time (if that many) even if they claim more than that.

You need to open the stapler from the back. Push the black piece at the back of the stapler in, then pull it up and out. Remove the jammed staples, and reinstall. Make sure you use the correct staple . It appears to be: SWINGLINE 35550 HIGH CAPACITY STAPLES, 3/8"

My etfx50 arrow staple gun jams, what can I do to fix this problem?

There is a screw and nut at the feeding end of the gun that allows you to remove the guide and get to the jam. Make sure it is unplugged and prepare for the firing mechanism to eject the jammed staple. Otherwise, a pretty simple maneuver. Wish Arrow would have included such in their owner's manual.

How to repair jammed arrow electo matic staple gun

You'll have to disassemble it. There is probably a staple lodged in the "hammer" mechanism on the business end of the stapler.

Often, these staple are very difficult to remove -- a very small flat-tip screwdriver and needle-nose pliers usually work best.

After you get all the jammed staples out, lubricate all moving parts with something akin to 3-IN-1 machine oil. This should prevent future jams.

There's a jammed staple but I can't figure out how to open it to fix the problem and refill it

This is how it works on the Arrow staple gun. On the back bottom, opposite end from where the staples come out, there is a little plate. Push it in and it unhooks and pops out. attached to a rod. When you refill with staples, just push them in, then put the rod back in and the spring applies the pressure.
