How do I wire 110v from a 220v box?

You have two wires in the box that will read 220 plus
volts to the ground wire, the box if grounded & to the
white neutral

So pick one of those wires,(black or red ) for your short
recepticle slot & gold screw & the white neutral goes to
the silver screw & longer slot

Put a wire nut on the other 220/240 wire, if it isn't going to be used

Have to ID the breakers for the wires first & know what is on
those circuits.

Will need to change the breaker out if your running a dedicated
120 volt circuit & then you will have an open space you will need
a plastic cover for, when you remove the 2 pole breaker

Key has popped out of laptop

The underparts of a key is very fiddly.
1) Its a two part plastic clip that connect together in a cross shape.
That will fold flat (think of a deck chair)
Part one will have small plastic prongs either side
Part two will have a recess hole for part one prongs to slot into.
They must be put together the right way up
2) These two connected plastic clips at each end also have a notch.
You have to hook the plastic clip notch under metal holders that are on the keyboard base.
3) Plastic clips will then lay flat which you just push down (snapin) the key.

Hard to explain - google a video.

How to remove control panel hotpoint ts12p tumble dryer

I removed the control panel on a TS12P tumble dryer to get the door and front panel off when replacing a drive belt. After taking off the back panel and loosening the wrap-round casing, pull off the timer knob, remove the Pozidriv securing screw, and push the panel firmly to the left to unhook the metal prongs. Ease the panel up and forward at the lower edge to disengage the plastic prongs from the slots in the return angle of the front panel. Tip: keep the screws removed in separate trays or egg box recesses to help replacement when re-assembling.

I need to replace the glass cooktop on my Maytag electric stove

  1. Open oven door and remove two screws that secure top.
  2. Lift up front and slide forward about 8 inches so that you can disconnect two wire couplings.
  3. Place on table upside down(I put newspaper down to catch the broken shards of glass) and remove burner unit (1piece, 4 screws).
  4. Place old burners on new stovetop in the same position as original.
  5. Remove 4 white plastic shims (round) from old stovetop and put on new stovetop.
  6. Tighten all screws and then sit it back on stove (two front tabs fit into slots) and then insert screws into holes and tighten.
  7. Took about 20 minutes, including vacuuming broken glass from inside burners and cleaning grease form crevices between burners and old stovetop.
  8. Wrap old stovetop in the newspapers that are underneath it and place it all in a plastic garbage bag to avoid any broken glass from falling out.

I have an apron tie strap wrapped underneath the agitator in the center of the machine. How do I get the agitator off to unwrap it?

Different manufacturers have different methods of removing the agitator. Since you posted no brand name or model number of your washer, it makes it hard to determine how your's is configured. The instructions below are for a Whirlpool manufactured washing machine. (This includes Kenmore, Estate and Roper):

1, Remove the agitator center cap (or fabric softener dispenser, if equipped) by either pulling straight up or gently placing a flat blade screwdriver into a slot located in the cap.
2. If the agitator is equipped with an inner cap with a handle, remove this as well by pulling straight up.
3. Remove the center bolt of the agitator. You will have either a 7/16” hex bolt or a recessed square plastic nut. If you have the square recessed type, use a 3/8” to ½” ratchet adapter to remove.
4, Remove the entire agitator by grasping the bottom flange and carefully pulling straight up. Try to keep the upper portion of the agitator (called the auger) and parts assembled while doing this, so do not pull too hard. This will make reassembly much easier.

NOTES:

When reinstalling the agitator bolt, ensure that you DO NOT overtighten. This can damage the agitator and restrict its movement. Tighten until "snug".

When reinstalling the center post cap, make sure it is seated properly. This cap is used as an air gap to keep water out of the transmission. Failure to install correctly, can lead to leaks and potential damage to the drive components.

If your agitator is not one of the models listed above, please post back with your information, so that I may assist you better. I hope this helps you.

The prop will turn on my minn kota endura 44 but it has no power is there a shear pin on this motor

Odds are you have sheared the pin (slides through the prop shaft) holding the prop, or you have damaged the slot on the prop that the pin sits in.

Prop is secured to the shaft with a metal nut, or flat plastic wing nut. Remove the nut to remove the prop. You may have to pry, slightly, the prop from the motor housing. Removed, you will see a whole in the shaft where a pin should be located. If the pin broke, it probably hit the floor when the prop was loosened. If the pin is intact, examine the rear side of the prop and look for damage to the plastic slot where the pin would sit making contact.

If you've snapped the pin, you can make a replacement with a nail using a hacksaw. Replacement pins can also be ordered from Minn Kota. If the back side of the prop is damaged (recess for the pin to sit), the prop is toast. Replacement props are often carried by Walmart, and include a new pin.

If neither part is broken, perhaps the prop was just not seated on the pin correctly allowing the prop to freewheel.

Removing rear light assembly on honda odyssey 2006

Yes, there is a "spear point" plastic clip that is still engaged into a socket type holder in the front outboard portion of the tail lamp assembly. Pry gently with a tape wrapped screwdriver at the front outboard corner of the assembly and the clip will release. You will then be able to see how the clip works and will be able to align and engage it first when replacing the tail lamp assembly.

Honda pilot door locks

It is because the door actuator is bad in those doors.

Replacements can be found at the dealership for around $60 or on Ebay for as little as $10. Number 5/24 in the diagram below. Actuator part # Left Side 72155-S5P-A11 & the Right side 72115-S6A-J01.

Expect to set aside at least 1-2 hours on the first replacement, lesser time on the ones afterwards. Be careful not to push parts in directions that they shouldn't be pushed in. Don't break any plastic parts/metal rods or connections - take your time.

1. Remove the plastic tab under the inner door latch.
2. Open the 2 small black colored screws.
3. Carefully swing the door latch attachment out by moving it down and out. Remove the rod and the electrical connection - there's a slot to press and pull-out.
4. Use a flat screw driver to carefully pry the window opening plastic area (its one piece and includes the cup holder). Remove the electrical connection - there's a slot to press and pull-out. Open the screw beneath the arm rest.
5. Use a flat tool (I used a metal putty 5-in-1 tool) to slide between the door metal and plastic areas - pull the plastic buttons/connections off, you'll hear them pop. Slide the door out.
6. Gently open the white plastic sheet about a quarter of the way from the top right down so you can reach in the actuator area (near the door latch - at the end of door with 3 screws). Remove the window guardrail, if its in the way - use a 3/8 bolt.
7. Use correct amount of force, without stripping them, open the 3 screws at the door latch.(Best to use a Handheld Impact Driver)
8. Take a good look at the connections inside. Disconnect the electrical connections (two of them) on the lock actuator.
9. Gently but forcefully (without breaking any plastic or other parts), push the metal connectors back and carefully remove the door lock actuator assembly from the door.
10. Replace with new actuator and assemble in reverse.
