Most oven doors handles are held in by screws from the inside of the door. Inside the front side of the door, so you need to remove the inside of the door to get at them. You should be able to remove the door from the oven or at least lock it in the down position. Carefully remove the screws and pay attention to which screws goes where. Then remove the back, tighten the screws holding the handle in and replace the back Document or take pictures/video of what you do to make sure everything goes back where it should. Ba careful with the glass.

Stoves 900ef oven. How can I remove the door.

1. Open the oven door and remove the 2 screws at the side of the inner glass window 11cm above the hinges and lift off the door. Place it somewhere safe!
2. Remove the 4 screws that you can see nearest to the left and right edges of the oven with the door removed. These secure the oven to the kitchen unit.
3. Slide the oven forwards about 20cm out of the unit, being careful not to pull on the cable.
4. Each hinge is held in place by 2 screws at the side of the unit now exposed, about 18cm apart. Remove them and slide out the hinges. Reassembly is the reverse of the above.
5. Note that the hinges have no means of adjustment. If not working properly, renew them.

How to turn off the oven light when door is closed. My stove is 15 years old

  1. Check all the screws behind the oven door gasket - in place and tight.
  2. Check that the door gasket is installed correctly and with all clips locked into place.
  3. Check the center hinge receiver, all screws are in place for the front chassis support
  4. Check the underside of the range below the center hinge receiver and make sure all 4 screws are tight and in place.
  5. Check that the door hinges are installed correctly & both mounting screws are secure.
  6. Check that the hinge retainers are closed and not blocked by the hinge cover.
  7. Check the top of door liner with a straight edge - make sure the liner is not bowed more than the width of a dime.
  8. Loosen the door panel top screws to a "relaxed" state. Open and close the door and retighten screws.
  9. Check the light/latch switch assembly - if out of position or stuck in incorrect position.
  10. If everything checks out, and oven light still stays on, replace hinges.

How do I remove the main oven inner glass to replace the seal? The screws which appear to hold it in place only do a half turn!

THE SCREWS MAY BE WORN AND STUCK OR THE INNER GLASS HAS BECOME SO GREASY THAT YOU MAY NEED TO USE SOME THING TO GET RID OF THE GREASE AND GUNK TO SLIDE OUT THE DOOR. MIX IN SPRAY BOTTLE WITH ABOUT 3/4 VINEGAR AND THE REST OF THE BOTTLE WITH WATER AND SPRAY INTO THE SCREW HOLES OR IN BETWEEN THE GLASS SEE IF THAT WILL WORK FOR YOU.

The top latch on the door that activates the microwave broke off. Can we replace this ourselves, or do we need to call a technician to come dismantle the door & replace the latch?

Nancy,
Can you see the inside portion of the latch? If so, you might try getting some quick set plastic epoxy. This will require some patients and a steady hand. Mix epoxy, apply to both ends, reattach and hold for a long time! Min 5 min's. Understand, if you cant do this with out getting epoxy on the surrounding parts of the door you shouldn't attempt this. You will end up gluing the latch in place- still wont work. Otherwise call a tech. But unless it is a built in over the stove microwave, it may be cheaper to get a new one than call for service! My charge to come do such a repair would be about $100 plus part. Is it worth it?

Hello,
This would appear to be the ring element around the fan that has failed and will need to be replaced. You will need to power off unit, then remove the back panel inside oven 4 screws in corners,Be careful with Thermostat held in place by clips above or on back panel. You may find 3 or 4 screws holding ring element.Gently pull towards you, being careful that the cables come with it.Check element with multimeter to see if open circuit if its ok then it may be a thermostat fault. If it is a faulty element,

get your replacement element, remove the cables off old one and put onto new one. Then push back into place and refix all.

Hope this helps.

Two scews have fallen out from behind the back right knob. Now the knob will not turn. What's the best way to get the screws back in place to make the knob work?

unplug or disengage power to machine, remove knob by pulling steadily towards you, practice first on a functional knob or switch to gauge the "feel" of removal and reinstallation.. if possible screws can be reinstalled by grasping the shaft of switch w/needlenose pliers to help line up screw holes if working from front.if cant line up holes that way, remove rear panel to line up screws by grasping switch by hand from behind console panel.knob must be removed to reinstall the screws

Cant remove oven light cover

Try a adjustable car oil filter wrench (cost a couple of bucks at Wal-Mart). Simply put it around the glass cover and give it a twist. Worked great for me.
