Question about Crock Pots & Slow Cookers
Do I just pop in the meat and close? Do I have to add liquid, to the outer recipient or to the inner one with the food?

It is best to sear the meat first as this will hold the meat juices in for a better taste. Pop your green veg in a couple of hours before the end for best results. Potatoes can go in at the start. The perforated tray is for steaming food on so take that out when cooking casseroles etc.

Yes you can use any cheaper cuts of meat or chicken and yes less liquid is used in slow cookers. add hard veges n use green veges for end of cooking time. cook for 6 or 8 hrs on low. Yeilds ecellent results. Find slow cooker books for great meals n desserts. I use mine every week.
