How to successfully use monofilament thread on Janome Horizon 7700

Generally, it is better to use monofilament in the top, not in the bobbin. There is also a problem with tension so our instructor had us tape a paper clip vertically about midway between the spool pin and the first thread guide on the top of our machine, set the spool behind the machine in a small cup and ran the monofilament through the paper clip and threaded as normal.

My casio cash register wont print nothing on the paper

Sounds like you have plain paper instead of thermal paper. Thermasl paper also will only print on one side, so you need to make sure it is threaded right.

Tighten the tension

Try these following steps:1. Look to see whether the thread loopsappear on the fabric back side. If this is the case, the tension on your sewingmachine is too loose.2. Check to see if your fabric ispuckering on the front side when you sew. If this happens, then your tension istoo tight.3. Adjust your needle thread tensionwith your machine threaded and your presser foot pedal down.4. Turn your thread tension dial asneeded. If you increase the number on your tension thread dial, you will beincreasing the tension on your sewing machine. If you are lowering the numberon your tension thread dial, you will be decreasing the tension on yourmachine.5. Clean your thread tension with asmall piece of paper or a toothpick. Slide the toothpick or paper between thediscs to remove any tangles of thread.Hope this will help you. Good Luck.

When sewing sometimes the thread knots up down by the bobbin(I have a singer machine)...what am I doing wrong?

Could be a lot of things but it usually your top theading. On this machine I use a metal SA 156 bobbin and have no jamming, but that is my preference. For your threading, totally rethread, now with the presser foot up, pull your top thread, it should feed smoothly, then put the presser foot down, now pull the thread, it should barely move. This usually seats the thread in the tension discs. You should have had a dvd to show you how to operate your machine in your manual bag. Also, study your manual. If, you are trying to sew on sheer or lightweight fabric, use a stabilizer of some sort, (gift tissue paper or printer paper works also).

The thread keeps tightening and loosening causing the stitching to be off.

This happened to me once on my machine...Pfaff. There was a teeny weeny bit of thread caught in the tension disks. I slid a piece of paper between the discs and eventually got it out. Also....if you sew with cones the thread tension often goes off because cones are not meant to be used on the spool holder. Buy a special device for holding cones of sorta looks like those verticle paper towel holders. (a disk with a stick poking up from it) This will solve your tension problems and prevent needles from breaking all the time. If neither of these ideas help......maybe your machine needs servicing. Give these a try first.....might save yourself a big repair bill. If you can't find the cone holder........wind off thread from your spool onto a bobbin and use that as your upper thread.

I have a singer touch tronic 2001sewing machine. I put the material to be sewed down, put down the foot and when I tried to sew, after a few stiches, it pulled the materal down and locked up. I pulled...

What type of material are your trying to sew? If it is stretchy, or thin put some gift wrap tissue paper under it to stabilize it. Also, adjust your tension to about 2 or 3. Now check your needle, put a fresh one in, maybe a 9 or 11. Do not use old thread, either because it breaks easy. Try this, I hope that it works for you. You can buy stabilizer, pellon but tissue paper is what we used years ago, sometimes even computer paper. Good luck.

Pulls bottom colored thread to do I ajust New Home 8000 trying to zig zag and bottom thread pulls color to top....

The bottom thread is the bobbin thread and it is suppose the pull the top thread slightly to the bottom/center of the layers of fabric.

Try a lower tension setting and a tear-away stabilizer or sheet of printer paper under the fabric to see if this will help hold the top thread down into the fabric.
