SOURCE: GE Spectra XL44 Gas Oven, flashing "Locked Door". Can't use oven or close door

I had the same problem happen tonight. I have an XL44 self-cleaning gas range. We unplugged it for several minutes and pressed 'cancel' a bunch of times--neither worked. We finally lucked out--opened the oven door and pressed a black button on the upper left side of the front of the oven. It turned out the flashing words and unlocked our door. Weird. There was nothing in the manual about this...

SOURCE: My Amana gas range's oven door will not stay shut.

they're not too bad, you may need to take apart part of the door to remove the hinges, just remember where everything goes as you take it apart. bring the door to the first stop, then bring the hinge pin locks into place to secure the door hinge lock, then remove door, or just slide the door up. then replace the hinges as needed.

Removal of inner glass door.. how.??

Open door to about 15~20 degree angle, pull up on door and totally remove from stove. Lay face down on flat surface. Now can access all screws to separate the inner and outer panels and to replace the glass. To return to stove, use locking pliers to pull the door hinge stubs out to their 15 degree open position, slide door on and close.

If glass not broken, just can't see through, no need to remove door or glass. Use glass cooktop cleaner, apply and let soak 3 minutes, then use new single edge razor in holder to shave off the baked on grease. May have to repeat 3x then switch to glass cleaner and clean again 3x, should be quite clean and clear unless seal has failed on the double pane thermal glass and internally obscured in which case the only cure is to replace the glass... return to paragraph 1.

Oven shuts off after 1-3 minutes The error message is F6 E5? Any solution

F5
- E6 Door is open, but latch is
locked

1.
If door latched:

  1. Disconnect power from unit.
  2. Check wires and connectors from control to door switch, then from door
switch to control. If no damage to wires and all connectors okay, proceed to
    step C.
  3. Replace door switch.
  4. Re-apply power.
  5. Press and hold any key down for 1 minute to clear F5 failure code from
memory. F2 will appear. Press CANCEL and observe for 1 minute to ensure
    operation is correct.

2. If door not latched:

  1. Disconnect power from unit.
  2. Check wires and connectors from control to latch switch, then from latch
switch to control. If no damage to wires and all connectors okay, proceed to
    step C.
  3. Repeat steps A and B for door switch.

3. Measure door switch (door open = switch open small low voltage terminals).
Replace switch if defective.
4. Measure latch switch (unlatch = switch open,
CAUTION - oven light contacts are closed). Replace switch if defective.
5. If
corrections are made in any step, reconnect power to control. Press and hold any
key for 1 minute to clear R failure code from memory. F2 will appear. Press

Stoves 900DFa oven cuts out

Hi.

The most probable cause is failure in your panel cooling fan 9not the one inside your oven)

If the appliance switches on again after 15 - 20 minutes then the fault is most likely here.

Unfortunately as you have gas the you will need a Gas Safe Certified engineer to repair

Stove/oven not heating up after replugging in.

Power supply is most likely burnt. It has capacitor's inside that will fry and overheat. last possible cause would be faulty control panel.

Our stove, a whirlpool accubake system is displaying an error code E0 - F0. We recently unplugged it after running the self cleaning feature. Now only the clock works, the stove does not heat and neither...

The E0 - F0 indicates that there are no error codes. This code will sometimes be displayed when you press and hold the CANCEL/OFF key for 5 seconds and there are no pre-existing error codes. Press the CANCEL/OFF button to clear this code.
You could have a problem with the oven temperature sensor or a problem with an element that is preventing the oven from heating properly. A problem with the control board or a blow thermal fuse on the broil element could also cause this problem. Check the broil function to see if the broiler will work properly. If the broiler will not work at all then you could have a blown thermal fuse. This thermal fuse is shown on the wiring diagram and parts drawing in the image below. You should be able to access this fuse by
unplugging the range and removing the back panel. You can check this fuse with a volt/ohm meter. Pull one wire off (with the range still unplugged) and measure the resistance across the leads of this component. You should measure near zero ohms of resistance (continuity) if the fuse is good. If the fuse is blown you will measure Open Circuit (open load or infinite resistance). With the range unplugged!

If the thermal fuse is okay, you could have a wiring failure, a failed broil element or a bad electronic control board.

If the broil element works okay but does not heat to the correct temperature, then you could have a bad oven temperature sensor probe. The procedure for accessing this component (with the range unplugged) is shown in the second image below. You can check this component by measuring the resistance through the probe. At room temperature, it should measure about 1080 ohms. If it is bad, it will need to be replaced.

If the sensor probe is okay then you could have a bad bake element. You can measure the resistance of this components in a similar manner as described above with the range unplugged!
The element should measure between 5 and 20 ohms. If it is open (measure Open Circuit or infinite resistance) then it will need to be replaced.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a technician.
