Washer stopped in mid wash. Clean light came on and flashes 7 times. Pressed clear went to 2 and finished. Pressed start light flashed 3 times won't start.

remove the bottom kick panel, you'll see a tech sheet there in the plastic bag,it will tell you how to check to see if the heater or board is bad,the light will flash 7 times,it's an error code telling you that there's a heat problem.

Why did my washer stop mid cycle and now won't work at all?

Hope your warranty is still in effect. It sounds like your control board has an electronic problem that will require replacement; typically around $135 for the part and $110 for the service visit.

I have a 14.4v Ryobi cordless angle drill which inexplicably stopped working. Had charged the batteries which I believe are fine and have cleaned the contacts in the battery compartment all to no avail....

Do you have a multimeter to check the battery voltage? Also, you can check the function of the trigger, bypass it and see if the drill works.

hehe, sorry it made me giggle. When you pick up an optical mouse it blinks trying to establish a reading on the surface it's on. Since it's in mid air and there is no surface, it will continually blink until you put it down.

This definately sounds like dirt over the optical lense (given that you are certain the batteries are "good" not simply "unused"). Take a paint brush with about 150 bristles and thuroughly clean inside the hole on the bottom of the mouse that emits the light.

Have a Vivitar v335 older model camera, think maybe early 80s. It's not digital, and need a battery. Several "experts" have told me a Duracell 28L is what I need but batter is too long. Battery compartment...

I happen to have one also. I bought it in the mid 80s. I still have the original box and instruction manual. It says: "Holding the Battery Compartment COVER in your hand, drop in and stack two LR44 or SR44 batteries so that the plus (+) signs are facing up. Replace the Cover. The positive (+) side of the batteries should face the (+) contact at the bottom of the battery COMPARTMENT. Turn the Cover clockwise with a coin until it stops flush with the bottom plate of the camera. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN".

Put new batteries and it won't come on

There are a number of possible reasons your toy may have stopped working. Sometimes it helps to clean the battery compartment with a dry cotton swab or cloth. Rub the gold contacts inside the battery compartment to release any dust or film. You can also use an eraser to 'erase' and clean the contacts. Once you have cleaned the contacts, please make sure to install new non-rechargeable batteries before turning your unit on.

If the toy still does not work, it may have been dropped or handled improperly

Is a replacement battery compartment available, if so where from?

If any of the liquid got inside the camera it has probably damaged the circuit board. replacing the battery compartment will not help. if you are very good with electronics you can dismantle the camera and try to clean it and look for damage. but its a very intricate job.

No Sound/No Power

I used your site to research the problem further. I found an answer which recommended rubbing the suspect terminal lightly with a pencil eraser. It worked! I now have battery power and my headset works fine.
