SOURCE: wii controller won't work with gamecube game in wii console

Gamecube games don't have the proper coding installed on the discs in order to receive commands from the Wiimote. You'll have to have a Gamecube controller to play Gamecube games even on the Wii console.

Trying to add a Bluetooth device but it's not connecting. I read that I might have the 'ADD NEW DEVICES' turned off. but I can't seem to find where to turn it on... or if that is my problem at all.

Connecting a Bluetooth Gamepad
(MENU/123) MENU System Device Manager Bluetooth Gamepad Settings
You can play the games downloaded and installed using the Smart Hub service with a Bluetooth gamepad. Select Bluetooth Gamepad Settings, and then place your Bluetooth gamepad close to your TV. The TV scans for available Bluetooth gamepads automatically. (DualShock®4, a gamepad optimized for PlayStation, is recommended.) After scanning, you can use the Bluetooth gamepad to play games.
  1. This function is not available on certain models in specific geographical areas.
  2. If the TV fails to find your Bluetooth gamepad, place it closer to the TV, and then select Refresh. For more information on pairing, refer to the Bluetooth gamepad's operating manual.

Why does the Wii U displays an error code... when the Wii U is not turning on... even though is not defective???

That is a unique error. Only Nintendo will be able to help you on this. That code can means software/hardware issues. But Nintendo can go through the process of resolving it. They will most likely wish for you to send it in. But if it works with a reset then that sound be fine.

Wii U gamepad touscreen and buttons won't respond

For other users that this solution may not have worked for and your wii u was working previously (not DOA), your problem may be as simple as a screen protector.

This was our problem, no buttons worked, the sceen didnt respond correctly but everything else seems normal. It seems that nintendo's hybrid resistive/capacative screen can sense the screen protector sometimes and will accept it as an entry.

Since the screen is always on, it can act similar to holding down a key down on a computer where no other entry will be excepted until the botton is released.... or in our case until you remove the screen protector. Removed and reapplied and all is well.

Hi there.
Have you gone to the Logitech website, to get the installation file?
Some gamepads require them, since windows only has generic drivers, and some functions won't work until you do ie:rumble support
Hope that helps

I got the controller conected to my laptop, but the buttons wont work when i start playing the game, its a p380 dual analog pc gamepad

you must first make sure you installed the software drivers for the controller. when you open the game, make sure that you've setup the controller in your options window. your controller name should show up if done correctly. Note: in some cases, some games aren't compatable with certain controllers, i suggest that if this is the issue, you consider getting a better supported controller, preferrably a Microsoft 360 controller. they're cheap and wireless. Gigaware controller on vista

Hi,
You don't (and can't) disable DEP for the controller (a gamepad controller isn't an application, it's a device which uses a driver, Data Execution Protection applies to applications ie .exe files), it's the game or emulator you disable DEP for, so that you the game can run, completely free of security bindings, and then you would be able to go into the game configuration menu and select your gamepad, and calibrate it. Calibrating means the game detects you gamepad and applies the specific functions to each button.
One way to be sure is to disable DEP for everything, then install a game, and THEN plug in your gamepad. Then start the game/emulator and go to the configuration menu within the game/emulator and set up the gamepad calibration in there.
If it doesn't work, then you haven't installed the drivers for the gamepad properly, or haven't installed the correct driver.

Before doing any of that, you would have checked in Control Panel and Gamepad Controllers, double clicked the Gamepad in the list and pressed Calibrate, to enable generic gamepad functionality.
If you hadn't done that, do so now.
If it still doesn't work, then NOW disable the DEP (either all DEP or for the game/emulator you want to play). Unplug the Gamepad and load up a game. Then plug the game pad in. Set up the gamepad from within the game/emulator config menu, which differs from game to game, of course, but is more or less the same.
If it doesn't work.. re-install the correct driver for the gamepad.
Also make sure your operating system is fully updated and you're plugging the gamepad into a usb2.0 port. and have rebooted after installing the gamepad usb driver.
That's everything you need to know..
Good Luck!

I have cheap gamepad i was working properly and one day when i was playing it sudely stoped working and now when i connect my gamepad pc shows it as unknown device

The wiring may be frazzled. I bought my son two 'compatible' gamecube control pads so he could play his gamecube games on his Wii, but they got fried. So my new motto is to spend that little bit more if you want longevity.
