This is usually dust clogging up the CPU cooler.
When the owner of the PC forgets to clean the fins and the fan of the CPU cooler it plugs up with dust and dirt and looks like the inside of a vacuum cleaner.
There is not enough airflow and thus not enough cooling, so the CPU overheats and the safety circuit shuts the CPU off until it cools down, and the CPU will not reboot the PC until it is cool enough that the safety circuit can reset.

First step remove the CPU fan and check the fins of the CPU cooler. If they are clean, the problem is usually somewhere else.

All of a sudden my system will hang with nothing function... not even ctrl+alt+del... mouse is also not working... since having no idea, I have to restart it again and again... This will happen...

This sounds more like a hard drive problem than motherboard. Try this FREE program called Mydefrag click the link. This program works different than the std. windows version. It can move files from a dead spot on the HD to a healthy spot and prolong the loss of your stuff. I would suggest you start moving files to another HD keep things you want or need. Hope this helps FixYA up.

My 3210 fails to start up the repair shop says it the motherboard replaced it and the cpu and the psu and it still doesnt start up any ideas

if you have change already the motherboard, cpu and psu here is what you need to do to check your pc by yourself and may be figure out what the cause of the problem.

1. connect the connector on your psu the motherboard. connect psu connector for hard drive, cdrom drive exhaust fan.
2. turn on the pc. look inside, if you see the led on the motherboard turn green then there's a power coming out from the psu.
3. hear the hard drive if its working, you can feel it vibrate.
4. check the little blower in the video card, if its spinning then there is supply in it.

when you turn on your pc the logo on the screen on the monitor will display. should you not see it, check if the monitor is plug in the ac outlet or the extension of your computer. if you see it then monitor is good. If this display followed by a dark screen with no signal display, then it means it is receiving no signal from your video card. go check the vga cable if its properly fix to the monitor and the video card. you can also detach the video card from the motherboard and reseat it properly. this sometime is the fix for no display.

If after booting after the logo, nothing else but dark screen, then is suggest you loosen the harddrive and reseat the connector properly, restart the system again. you can also check if the voltage from the power supply is dropping when there is a load in it. using a multitester test the 4pin connector. readings from the red wireshould be +5vdc and the yellow +12vdc. If its dropping then system will hang. check if there is shorted in your cpu, most of the time it is the blower or exhaust fan.

post back your findings so i can still help you out.

he power cable on your psu and the plug to the ac outlet. turn

Hi I am having dell

old post and the OP fails to read his manual.? why post here and not great forum, I'm there every day... it covers the 4 led POST errors fully. on all Dell machines with those 4 led. I have powereEdge R410, very different gen11.
here is your missing page.
no better servers on earth (hp 2nd) for documents
and free help, on their great forum.!!!

15 years old today, relic it is. that old. page 16 in the manual, quoted "Possible system board resource and/or system board hardware failure".

If you have DRAC that is first to look there. that tells you to strip the PC down, means there is a bad module on the mobo.
start by remove the extra video card.
if present
and all jumper clips not set wrong on mobo.
and good PSU all ram out and test them 1 by 1 in bank 0 slot as the manual directs you to do for 1 stick of ram. are you running 2 processors? unstated. do you have riser board, and if yes, anything there., are you using RAID cards? control panel jacks plugged in wrong or missing? that RTC coin cell is no good this old. replace that first. (always wise after 6 years age) all fans work, does the drac card (web page on it) show no errors? for fan or power? or no DRAC? or this BMC remote card fitted? the real questions are how is this server configured, what is inside what options all. only then can be get a grip on causes. on all Dell server best is to see if BMC/DRAC show errors. Remote login see the error logs if that is dead, then you have gross hardware failures. start pulling modules inside to clear faults first. good luck , and sorry so late.

your manual is here

diagnosis is:
fans all run?
Drac/BMC remote login show log errors?
your 4 LED say there are interrupt conflicts, I think,
tell all things inside your server (upgrades etc)
ever upgrade bios firmware first? this is first.
I upgraded mine with freedos usb boot, stick, safe.
The old generations (even my g11) do not support
online updates now, (dell shut that down) (your LSM , life cycle management features) G12 up. yes.
but we do that manually, for sure yours.
BIOS A03 is 07 Jul 2012 last one.

Hello,This always happen when the processor is bad or faulty. when the system is working, check if the processor fan is working too, if the processor is working that means the CPU is faulty.leave the system open and power it on to see if it will hang.

The specs of my computer is intel pentium 4 2.8c 800mhz processor with 4GB pc3200 ddrram. the video card is hercules radeon 9600 256mb w/ tv-out/dvi/8x agp. i'm using this computer for editing videos from...

Well I'd try a different video card first, even an old piece of **** will do & see if it hangs. If that doesn't work, try a different monitor. If the board were bad it wouldn't work at all. Last possibility is the video card is getting too hot. Make sure the fan is running if it has one & the heatsink is free of excessive dust buil up. Write back if that doesn't solve it. The motherboard should be a lasdt resort. Keep in mind I'm giving you the way to test stuff without the use of high tech equipment that we pros have.
