Ice accumulates at bottom of refrigerator, water leaks onto floor if not removed.

Ice accumulates at bottom floor of refrigerator interior, if not broken up and removed every few days it leaks out onto the floor.

Sounds like a blocked drain, either by debris or failed drain heater?

Your defrost circuit is working fine. It's the defrost drain that's clogged somewhere along the way.

Ice maker leaking

Are you sure it's the ice maker that's leaking? We have this model & ours accumulates a HUGE iceberg in the bottom of the freezer, but the water seems to be coming out of the back, at the bottom of the back panel, where the vents are.

My kenmore is leaking water once a day .

You didn't say from where. Usually twice a day your de-ice heating coils come on and melt any ice that has accumulated. this water usually runs down the back of the ref. and collects in a small pan under the ref. Someime ice form around the hole that the water drains down through to go into the small pan. so then when the deicer comes on the water just runs down the bottom of the ref and onto the floor. My Kenmore does the same thing. Remove everything from the bottom of the Freezer look in the back at the bottom see if hole is clogged with ice. Remove ice then pour hot water down hole check occasionally.

Yes the drain is clogged and the water that supouse to go through became ice so it make it worse.Put hot water in the drain hole until it runs through,it'll go to an evaporative pan on top of the compresor to keep it warm and vaporize the water.

Cause: A blocked defrost drain is one of the most common causes of water leakage. This happens when food particles or other debris clogs up the drain hose, which can lead to ice buildup and, eventually, water leaking out of the freezer and refrigerator.

We were able to fix the freezer water leak. We unscrewed the false freezer floor and the inside back panel. Ice had accumulated on the freezer floor and the defrosting drain was frozen. We removed the ice by using a blow dryer then poured boiling hot water onto the frozen drain hole. The frozen water in the drain pipe hole eventually melted and the water released into the defrosting drip pan at the bottom of the refrigerator. Problem solved. We no longer have water leaking into the refrigerator.

I have the same problem- had service man out & he replaced the ice maker- not a cheap fix, especially since the ice continues to accumulate at the bottom, then melt onto the floor. no good answer yet---
