Lightning hit the speaker and now it makes a loud buzzing noise. The fuse looks good, but not sure if it is.

It's very likely that lightning has damaged the internal parts of the speaker. You may be able to get it fixed, but it may cost more than the sub is worth.

Klh powered subwoofer model ASW10-120B... when you plug in to power... it makes a loud buzzing/humming noise

I would check the caps on the power supply. They are rather large electrolytic capacitors that will look like they burst and/or leaking. When these die, the caps ground and the sub will make a loud buzzing sound. If you are handy with a soldering iron you can replace them yourself. Replace them with the same voltage or a little bigger and same with the size.

If the cap. says 16v 4700pF on it, for example, a 20v 5300pF or a 16v 6200mF cap. will work for this application.

Every time my sub hits it makes a buzzing

There may be any of several problems.

If you send high pitch signals to a speaker designed for lows, it can cause waves to propagate outward causing a buzzing. Look up the specs on the speaker and verify that your crossover cuts off well below the high end frequency for this speaker.

Another problem can be due to the mounting which can resonate. This should be mounted on at least plywood that is 1/2 inch or more thick. It needs to be wood as plastic or metal will rattle and buzz.

Another problem can be the wiring near this can rattle and buzz.

Check out these possibilities.

Loud buzzing from Kef PSW1000 Subwoofer

yes. A good idea. Kill power to the sub, then unplug and remove everything from the sub. go ahead and plug it in again and check for buzzzz.
That is test one. if you have buzz still, its the sub assembly. bad luck, but not impossible. If the buzz is gone its one of the signals to the sub. They can produce a buzzz without any signal coming from your stereo equipment. Replace the feed line, enjoy! BTW...Kef sure does sound clean. good choice.

Speaker buzzing at random

It sounds like the socket on your computer is becoming worn or has a loose solder joint.

If you feel comfortable with a fine tipped soldering iron and stripping your computer down I would take a look there first.

Also check the power supply for the speakers to make sure it is not getting too hot.

The noise is a hum or buzz. We've narrowed it

Hello,

By chance have you tried making sure the laptop is not too close to the speakers? Sometime you will get feedback when the source is to close to high powered speakers. Also, check your jack cord and make sure no splits/cuts are visiable and the plugs are fully inserted.

Good Luck and keep making great music. Aloha.

Alot of loud feedback through speakers, a loud buzzing noise

What sources make it happen or which do not? All buzzing = something in the amplifier end. is it from all speakers or just one?
One external source= RCA cables not grounded. Reconnect them tightly with a twisting motion to wipe off oxidation.
