mine did the same thing , its a internal problem inside the motor and is gradually burning the motor up. I would suggest you start looking for another one

I have a Dyson DC28 Animal.It will not recyline

The most common problem when your model will not recline has to do with the valve pipe assembly. It is the part at the bottom of the vacuum on the right side if you are looking at the back. As you pull the handle back the valve pipe assembly redirects the air flow from the wand to the floor. It may have something stuck in it keeping it from moving freely or it may have a broken part. It may also have been knocked out of it's proper position. It is hard to explain how to fix it without seeing what it is doing. Try looking at this area as you move the vacuum and see if you can see what is keeping it from working properly. It helps if you have one that is working properly that you can use to compare how the parts should be moving.

Windtunnel 721.35820500 not picking up

I had the same problem - I found the elbow behind the brush was plugged. You have to remove the floor brush, canister, and hose. Look into the pipe from the top, looking toward the floor brush. Most likely, that's where its plugged. Also check the hose - run a broom handle down the hose.

I have a dyson DC18 slim all floors i have no suction from the accesory hose with hose off there is a white plastic thing blocking the hole

I realize this questioned was posted >1 year ago, but in the event you still have the poor suction/wheezing or if anyone else has this issue, here's what worked for us.
Use a plumbers sink snake to unclog the "pipe". I thought it was the pipe on the right hand side (when you're looking at it) which needed to be unplugged. There was a little in that size, however we retrieved the nastiest "hairball" out of the left hand side (when you're looking at it) and after removing that, and re-testing, the suction was incredible. In addition, the "wheezing" noise was no longer there.
Good luck

Canister turns on but no suction in house

sounds like there could be a clog in the lines, Check the pipes running through your attic/basement, and see if there's something blocking the piping.

If you can't seem to find the problem, I'd suggest looking into having someone who services central vacuums come and take a look. They'd have the proper tools and knowledge to help you in person

My Dyson has no suction power

It is possible that it has a clogged. the valve pipe could be 1 of the problem. it could had sucked to much debri at one time that might had cause the clogged.
The valve pipe is located at the base of your machine (on the left side when looking at it from the front) above the rear wheel. It may be removed by squeezing the release catches, check for obstruction any debri.

if you need addtional help

Immediately above the right wheel (looking at the machine from the front) there is a short length of curved pipe. Lift this pipe upwards, with a slight forward rotation, and the filter housing will come out with it.  Be sure to follow instructions for washing the filter, and especially for drying it before putting it back.  If you put it back when even slightly damp you risk turning it into a solid lump and you'll have to buy a new one - you'll also get the motor damp, which is a generally bad idea!
Good luck.  If you need more help, lust ask!

Water will not come out to do floor work

HI, I have a very similar Bissell. My problem was that after unscrewing the top plate and looking at the pipes the pipes feeding the front sprays were full of gunge blocking the sprayheads. I managed to flush it through by carefully removing the T connector that feeds the front 2 pipes, placing it back so it stuck out of one of the holes and replacing the water tank and turning on while holding it over a bucket. Black and white bits came out but it did flush through. I am thinking of doing a youtube video - let me know if this will help you!
