Wow, do not listen to that other guy.
You need to look at you're fan switch. if it is old style it has a manual override-pull that to check the blower motor.
if it is new style, basically a plate with 2 contacts-leave it hooked up and put a jumper across the terminals, blower should come on.
(The high limit codes are happening because the blower is not blowing) once you fix the blower issue that will go away.
