How to remove filter light in Hitachi split AC

Put your AC on Standby mode then press the filter key...let it stay till AC shuts automatically....once AC shuts press filter key again to switch it off.

you have to remove the front cover to access the filter. The cover should be held in with push button retaining clips. After you remove the cover the filter resides in front of the evaporator.

Its very simple to remove that red light glowing on the AC, just switch-off your AC with your remote, but don't turn off the switch that resides with in the plug, remove filters wash gently and dry under shade and place them again in the AC, now keep it without turning-off the switch for 30-60minutes this is called stand by mode. Now take the remote open the panel and press the button that is situated in 4th row and 3rd column. By doing this the red light will be turned off and enjoy your AC.

I have a Hitachi 1.5 ton Split AC and in that Red light always glows (the one indicating filter grid) How can I turn it off?

I've never owned one of those kind of air conditioners, but most air conditioners have a filter where air from the room enters the unit. They need cleaning or replacement and that sounds like what the indicator is suggesting. Might check manual or download one off internet.

Hitachi Split AC. Turn on the mains, the fan turns on for few second then the filter clean red LED starts blinking and AC goes dead. Only the power light is on and red LED is blinking (5 times & puase

Likely this means the filter is dirty--or the airflow around it--is blocked..and needs to be cleaned out to restore operation.,..

Did you figure out why the ac wasn't responding to the remote? I am having the same problem. I just cleaned out the filters but it's still not responding to the remote. I have already tried reset button in the remote, which didn't help. I am pretty sure that the remote is not out of battery.

RED LIGHT BLINKING IN HITACHI ICLEAN AC.. WHAT TO DO?

I was told the same thing that Dennis has posted by the guy who came to service the AC. So I think, it is ok as long as it blinks 9 times in a row and then repeats it after a brief pause.

Hitachi ACE follow me red filter light is always on

the red light turns on automatically after 120 hrs of running to remind us for cleaning the filters. once you cleaned the filters and inserted back , then just keep ac in stand by mode, open the remote panel and press the button on extreme right bottom of the remote ( see carefully in the remote, there is very light image of the filter is made along with the button). red light will go off. no need to press the reset button.... enjoy
