Question about Linksys Computers & Internet
I have a laptop running win 7 with Windows Media Center hardwired to my router. I have a LinkSys WMC Extender connected wireless. It has been working great for a while now. Night before last it lost connection with the PC and I could not get it reconnected. Yesterday I reset the router to factory defaults. Now when I turn on the extender it tries to connect to the PC then gives me a 8 didget number to enter into WMC on the PC after going into add extender. I enter the number and EMC on the PC tries to configure the extender but comes up with cannot detect extender. Tips say turn off firewalls, and turn on Multicast and UPnP. I found out how to turn on UPnP but cannot find how to turn on Multicast. I have disabeled all firewalls. Extender status show it is connected to the router wireless.
