Your lamp cover is not installed. That is what causes the LED to light amber. Remove and re-seat the lamp cover door. There is a switch it hits to tell the TV the door is shut. This is to protect you from electrocution.

It is helpful to have the sequence of the blinking red light. This may help:

3. Error Code Operational Check

Note: The TV must be in "Shut Down" and not have been switched Off, to perform the Error Code Operational

Check. When the TV is switched Off, the code automatically resets to "12" No Error.

Pressing the front panel "DEVICE" and "MENU" buttons at the same time, and holding for 5 seconds,

activates the Error Code Mode. The LED flashes denoting a two digit Error Code, or indicating no problem

has occured since the last Initalization.

Note: The front panel buttons must be used, NOT those on the Remote Control.

• The number of flashes indicates the value of the MSD (tens digit) of the Error Code.

• The flashing then pauses for approximately 1/2 second.

• The LED then flashes indicating the value of the LSD (ones digit) of the Error Code.

• The Error Code is repeated a total of 5 times.

Example: If the Error Code is "23", the LED will flash two times, pause, and then flash three times.

Does the Orange light flash ? As that will indicate which section has the issue. Or is it a solid orange?

My tv lamp indicator was red i had audio but no video I replaced the lamp and now the indicator lamp light is orange/ yellow.... I am really confused on what the problem is now can you please help?

Hi,

If it is a flashing yellow lamp led light, check the lamp cover. Make sure that it is properly seated and the screws are fasten securely. Lamp cover will engage to micro-switch and make it in closed position. If the lamp cover is not properly seat in, this switch will be in open position and will make that kind of symptoms. Double check the lamp cover.

Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.

I recently replaced a 915P026010 bulb for a MiTSUBISHI WD-62628 tv and it gives me a blinking yellow light in the lamp led indicating that the lamp housing is not installed properly. I have re-installled...

Make sure lamp cover is also fixed on tv cabinet after lamp installation.
If lamp cover has not been put on its place, tv wont turn On due to safety switch inside that place that gets press with lamp cover.
Thanks.

Tv only 2 years old

I don't know your set in particular, therefore I will be generic.

On some projection sets, there is an hours counter that is manualy resetable. Make sure that it is reset. If you can have a readout of the amount of hours used on the lamp this will tell you if this needs to be reset.

Normaly, when the set reacts as per your description, there is a cooling problem, or a fault in the power supply.

Also with your model of set, check to see if there are any safety switches that work with the cover or door for the lamp access. With the safety switch option, if the uPC thinks that the lamp is not properly enclosed or installed it will not allow for proper startup.
