Question about Tomtom GO 920 GPS Receiver
I have downloaded an update to the map of Australia but it won't activate without the Activation Code (15 digits) and I no longer have the package as I didn't think I'd need it after I'd had the unit a year, so threw it out. How do I get the activation code as my unit now will not work at all, and I have tried everything. TomTom are hard to contact.
Unless your TomTom device comes with a "life-time" map, you need (to pay for a map update and) get an activation code everytime to wish to install a new/revised map on your device. You can subscribe to a year of update (i.e. 4 maps updates for the year) and you should be able to update the maps (4 times) after you enter the activation code (once you've paid for the map subscription).

I have managed to load a downloaded map onto two separate Tomtom one XL devices. I did it through tom tom home. I purchased , downloaded and installed the map on my first device. Then connected my second device to my computer. In TOM TOM Home I then changed my device using the Device menu / Change device. it then allowed me to load the map onto a second TOM TOM device.
