Often the nets and subnets are NOT the same.. ie The Fixed connection often uses 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1, however sometimes the wifi is setup 10.1.1.1, or 10.0.0.1 etc, have you checked this? Your modem has already registered itself with the MAC address of your computer, so it doesn't recognize the MAC of your router. In cases like this you have two options:
Soft Reset - Plug the modem into the router via the ethernet cable then do a soft reset.

I had same problem but I think it's more of a simple solution. Linksys default IP it uses is 192.168.1.1, and guess what...so is the zhone router. I changed my linksys router to 192.168.10.1 and i am able to connect to the internet. Only problem I have left is some things are not working such as MSN messenger and https pages. I am wondering why...
