Question about Bose Audio Players & Recorders

Bose radio is not working. Suspect the fuse is blown. Took it apart but can not see the fuse. Need the location of fuse in my old radio. Thanks.

These fuses are most likely 3 Amp fuses. Please note that if the replacements blow as well, that there is a problem within the amp section that will require repair.

HERE is your owners manual in PDF Format.

The Fuse layout is on page 174.

Location 27 - 10A red fuse is your radio fuse.

The fuse panel is located on the right hand side kick panel. Remove the
panel cover to access the fuses.

im sorry but i dont think you are going to able to find that chip.i think your best choise would to go the the junk yard for a new amp.or if you feel lucky try conntacting bose.

We have three service manuals covering the PLMV169 series, which you can download free:

They're all pretty similar.

You can usually find parts from the Pros here.

If not, contact Electrolux at the phone number on the front of the service manual.

It may be the C/T fuse (thermal fuse located above the magnetron) or the oven cavity thermal cutout, located on the top of the cavity.

Accessing these two parts for testing and possible replacement will require you to remove the oven from the wall.

If so, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.

You can download Electrolux / Frigidaire owner's manuals and installation instructions here.

It may also be that there was a power surge which damaged the control circuit board, activating the built-in surge protection.

This is not resettable. The circuit board has to be repaired. We do that for $39.95, details here.

Where is fuse in Bose SA-3 Amp

If there is not an external round push and turn style fuse port then it is in the unit itself. You will have to take it apart.

My old Bose radio has suddenly started playing up .. The base speakers sound like they have blown ., Thenpnly thing is this distortion comes and goes .. so for no reason again they work gone again .. Any...

I took my wave radio to the bose store, all they could say was they would look at it for $70 and fix it for probably $200. I opted to buy an iphone dock for $350 .. now I still have my much loved clock radio and don't know what to do with it ..seems like a waste to throw it away

Radio and navi won't turn on. Tried looking for blown fuse but unable to locate one. Help.

It helps to state what radio you have.....So did you find the fuse and its good?and getting power or just tried to find it? Try fuse 11 and 13 for the Nav. Fuse 8 and 9 inside and fuse 4 under hood for BOSE SYSTEM. Fuse 8, 9 under dash and 48 under hood for non BOSE

Bose does not release their schematic diagrams or parts lists, so factory maintenance is about the only way to go. You can start the process by visiting www.Bose.com, but be ready for some sticker shock. Before you do anything though, every Bose has a line fuse inside the case. The location varies by model and date of manufacture, but if you open the case it will be simple to locate. Check it, and replace it if necessary. The fuse is there to safeguard electronics against power surges, so it is your likely culprit.

Where is the fuse for bose wave radio

Upon opening the Bose Wave radio.. 4 screws only from the bottom. The fuse is located at the top side of the PCB. It is a small fuse. Kindly inform me if you need a picture. I am repairing one now

There is probably a fuse located somewhere on it and the surge would have blown it, I know that most larger speakers and amps have safety fuses so they do not blow apart, the same goes for most electronics nowadays..find the fuse fix the problem. thanks Steve

My Bose wave radio suddenly is dead as a doornail. It showed no signs of malfunction, just won't work now.

Perhaps it is just a fuse blown. There is one small fuse inside the unit. If the fuse is OK, then the next step might the transformer. If the transformer is OK, then it might be the Bridge rectifier IC GBU series
